In Elden Ring, Electrify Armament’s added Lightning Attack Power is 75% of the Faith-derived portion of the Sacred Seal’s Incantation Scaling. Raising Faith can therefore strengthen the buff by increasing that portion of your casting seal’s scaling; scaling contributed by a hybrid seal’s other attributes does not count toward this weapon buff.
How Faith affects Electrify Armament
Electrify Armament uses the Sacred Seal you cast it with. Its added lightning damage is calculated from the seal’s Faith-based Incantation Scaling, not from the weapon’s own Faith scaling. Which seal should you use?
Compare seals by their Faith-derived Incantation Scaling for this purpose, rather than choosing whichever has the highest total scaling number. A hybrid seal can display scaling from Strength, Intelligence, or Arcane as well as Faith, but those non-Faith contributions do not increase Electrify Armament’s weapon buff. There is no single best seal established for every character level and stat spread. The relevant comparison depends on your build’s actual Faith and the Faith-based scaling of the seals available to you.
Requirements, effect, and acquisition
- Requirement: 15 Faith.
- Cost: 21 FP and one memory slot.
- Duration: 90 seconds.
- Target: A right-hand armament. Hold the Sacred Seal in your left hand when casting.
- In-game description: “Enchants armament held in the right hand with lightning-affinity attacks.”
To obtain the incantation, give the Dragon Cult Prayerbook to Brother Corhyn or Miriel, Pastor of Vows, then purchase Electrify Armament for 4,000 runes. Tarnished.app: Electrify Armament

Electrify Armament versus grease
Lightning Grease and Dragonbolt Grease are alternatives, not automatically weaker substitutes. The buff reference describes scaling breakpoints at which grease can add more attack power than Electrify Armament when Incantation Scaling is lower. Electrify Armament lasts longer than the relevant grease buffs, while grease is quicker to apply. Eldenpedia: Buffs

- Time to cast the incantation versus apply grease in combat.
- Whether your chosen weapon can receive a spell buff.
The better choice depends on those trade-offs and the weapon’s buff compatibility; Electrify Armament is not invariably the strongest option.
