No official source found confirms a game called Game of Thrones: Lord of Light or an October 16 release date. The claim should be treated as unverified, not as an announced launch. Official materials for two other Game of Thrones games may explain the confusion, but neither confirms this title.
Is Game of Thrones: Lord of Light officially releasing October 16?
The title and date could not be verified in the official sources located for this article. No announcement or storefront listing from the rights holder, publisher, developer, or a platform store was found to establish that Game of Thrones: Lord of Light is a real announced game. That absence does not prove that no such project exists; it means there is not enough official evidence to report an October 16 release as fact.

Until an official announcement or listing confirms the game, its existence, release date, platforms, developer, and publisher remain unestablished. Do not rely on a date-only headline or transfer details from another Game of Thrones game.

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad
Netmarble’s official release schedule names Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, a separate title. It lists a PC pre-launch on May 14, 2026, and a mobile grand launch on May 21, 2026 (UTC). Netmarble’s pre-registration page also shows an October 14, 2026 Global Content Alignment for Kingsroad. That is an update for Kingsroad, not evidence that Lord of Light releases on October 16.

Game of Thrones: Dragonfire
Warner Bros. Games announced Game of Thrones: Dragonfire as a separate free-to-play mobile strategy game based on House of the Dragon. Its launch announcement, dated June 2, 2026, lists iOS and Android availability. An earlier pre-registration announcement concerns Dragonfire as well. Neither announcement corroborates a game called Lord of Light.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What should players check before trusting the date?
- Look for the exact title on an announcement from the rights holder, publisher, or developer.
- Check the relevant platform storefront for a matching product page and release date.
- Make sure any article or post naming October 16 links to evidence about Lord of Light itself, rather than a date or update for another game.
Without that confirmation, there is no reliable basis to state a launch date, platforms, gameplay details, or pre-registration status for Game of Thrones: Lord of Light.
