No. There was no announced early-access period for the full game. Ghost of Yōtei launched worldwide on PlayStation 5 on October 2, 2025. The Digital Deluxe Edition’s “early unlock” was for Traveler’s Maps, an in-game bonus—not an earlier chance to play the game.
What “early unlock” meant in the Digital Deluxe Edition
Sucker Punch’s April 2025 edition announcement listed an “early unlock of Traveler’s Maps” among the Digital Deluxe Edition’s bonuses. The maps help players find statues used for skill upgrades; the early timing applied to that item, not to access to the full game. The announcement set the game’s release date as October 2, 2025. Release and platform

Does the Complete Edition have early access?
The Complete Edition is later content, not an early-play offer for the original launch. Sony’s August 2026 announcement said buyers could start the main game and Ghost of Yōtei Legends immediately, while two new modes—Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted—were scheduled to arrive with patch v.2.0 on October 1, 2026 globally and October 2 in some territories. The same announcement described a conditional early unlock of Sakai Armor for orders placed by September 30, 2026. That deadline has passed. This is a timed bonus item, not early access to the game. The PlayStation Store lists the Complete Edition as a PS5 release and says online multiplayer requires PlayStation Plus, sold separately; that subscription requirement concerns online play, not access to the single-player game.
