Why do results differ by benchmark?
A single aggregate rating can hide workload-specific differences. In Notebookcheck’s 3DMark Time Spy Graphics test at 2560 × 1440, the AI BOX scores 39,797 points, compared with 37,216 for the tested RTX 4090 and 48,663 for the RTX 5090 Founders Edition. In Affinity Photo 2, however, the AI BOX’s listed score is far below those two cards. The ranking therefore depends on the application or test; the Time Spy result should not be generalized to every game, creative task or rendering workload.

For a buyer focused on gaming, the review’s figures are evidence that the box can deliver performance in the broad RTX 4090 class in some comparisons. They do not establish frame rates for a particular game, resolution or laptop configuration. Check results for the exact workload that matters to you rather than assuming one benchmark predicts another.
Does the RTX 5090 AI BOX require Thunderbolt 5?
