That triggers Snared Silk and opens Act 3; defeating Lost Lace there gives the ending known as Sister of the Void. The transition after Grand Mother Silk is not itself the Act 3 finale.
How to unlock Act 3 and the true ending
- Progress through Act 2. Collect the Threefold Melodies and gain access to the Cradle. Silk and Soul appears late, after substantial world and wish-board progression.
- Complete Silk and Soul. Accept the wish from the Caretaker in Songclave when it becomes available, find its four components, and return them to the Caretaker to make the Soul Snare.
- Use the Needolin at the Grand Mother Silk prompt. After completing the wish, play the Needolin when prompted during the fight. This activates the Soul Snare and triggers Snared Silk.
- Resume the save and enter Act 3. Credits roll after the transition. Select your save and break the black tendrils around it to continue into Act 3.
- Defeat Lost Lace. This is the final requirement identified for Sister of the Void.

What Silk and Soul requires
Find these four components, then give them to the Caretaker in Songclave:
- Maiden’s Soul: from the Chapel Maid near Bone Bottom.
- Hermit’s Soul: from the Bell Hermit in hidden tunnels beneath Bellhart.
- Seeker’s Soul: in a hut in Bilehaven after defeating Groal the Great.
- Snare Setter: in Weavenest Atla.

If Silk and Soul has not appeared
The exact minimum side-content requirements are unresolved in the cited guides, so there is no confirmed universal checklist. PC Gamer says that completing every quest, collecting every flea, finishing every town wish, or defeating the final boss is not required just to acquire Silk and Soul. Nintendo Life recommends a more conservative route and says the precise conditions are debated.
If the wish is still unavailable, use this conservative checklist as a troubleshooting route—not as a proven minimum:

- Gain a Bellhome in Bellhart.
- Finish Shakra’s Trail’s End wish by acquiring all her maps.
- Explore Bilewater and Putrified Ducts.
- Move the Flea Caravan to Pale Lake. Nintendo Life associates this route with roughly 25 fleas; PC Gamer estimates 22, potentially with additional named fleas.
- Collect the Architect, Conductor, and Vaultkeeper melodies to access the final boss in the Cradle, as PC Gamer’s checklist describes.

The names and conditions are given in the endings reference. Nintendo Life warns that entering Act 3 without cursing Hornet can lock out Twisted Child, so handle that branch before choosing the Needolin transition if you want to pursue it.
