GTA VI’s announced physical edition is a box containing a digital download code—not a disc or a special memory card. The unverified claim that a memory-card version could cost almost $190 appears to stem from unexplained French retailer listings reported before Rockstar announced official prices.
What comes in GTA VI’s physical edition?
Rockstar describes the physical version as a boxed download-code edition. The code lets buyers download the game; the official descriptions do not say the box contains a disc or memory card. See Rockstar’s GTA VI store page and its platforms, editions, and versions support page.

Take-Two announced that the boxed code version would be available starting November 12, 2026, to support pre-loading. The announced game release date is November 19, 2026. Dates and availability can vary by retailer and region; the announced price figures below are US prices. Take-Two’s announcement provides the dates and edition details.
What are the announced GTA VI prices?
| Edition | Announced US price | Included content described |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | $79.99 | Base game |
| Ultimate | $99.99 | Base game and additional in-game items |
Take-Two announced these prices on June 24, 2026. Its announcement does not say that the physical format differs between editions: the announced box contains a download code. Regional pricing, taxes, and retailer offers may differ from the US prices.

- This product contains a download code inside the box — no disc is included. Customer shipments will begin arriving November 12 for pre-load; game is playable starting November 19.

Where did the nearly $190 claim come from?
A June 21, 2026 GamesRadar report described five unidentified Fnac listings in France priced from €89.99 to €199.99. Those listings appeared before official prices had been announced. The report did not establish that the €199.99 listing was a special memory-card version, or even a genuine, named collector’s edition. It is historical pre-announcement speculation, not a confirmed GTA VI price. GamesRadar’s report covers the listings.
The official announcement came three days later with US Standard and Ultimate prices of $79.99 and $99.99. Neither Take-Two nor Rockstar’s cited product descriptions confirm a special memory-card edition or a product priced near $190. A euro listing and a US dollar price also cannot be treated as directly interchangeable without accounting for region and currency.

Has Rockstar announced a collector’s or memory-card edition?
The official product information cited here describes Standard and Ultimate editions and a boxed download code; it does not confirm a memory-card edition. A July 2026 GTA BOOM article reported that no collector’s edition had been announced at that time. That is a time-limited report, not proof that Rockstar will never announce another edition. GTA BOOM’s July coverage reflects the lineup as reported then.

For a purchase decision, check Rockstar’s official store or the retailer’s live listing for the platform, edition, included items, price, and whether the product is actually available to order. Do not infer a memory card or disc from a retailer placeholder or an unexplained high price.

Does the physical version include a disc?
No disc is specified in Rockstar’s description of the announced physical version; it is a code in a box for downloading the game. Game Informer also reported the announced prices and code-in-box format on June 24, 2026, but Rockstar and Take-Two are the primary sources for the product details. Game Informer’s report provides secondary coverage.
