The platform list also does not establish that a mobile launch is imminent or cancelled. It only establishes the products that are officially identified at the stated date. If the publisher adds iOS or Android later, the store listing, supported devices, save model and account requirements should be checked afresh.
Can you play Inscryption offline on a phone?
Offline mobile play cannot be confirmed because an official mobile build is not documented. There is therefore no supported phone installation whose offline behavior can be tested against the publisher’s specifications.
For a future mobile edition, “offline” could mean several different things:

Does Inscryption have mobile cloud saves?
There is no documented iCloud, Google Play Games or other mobile save service for Inscryption, because no official mobile edition is listed. A phone app found under the title would need its own publisher-confirmed save policy before you could assume that progress is backed up or recoverable on another device.
The PC listing is different. The Steam product page identifies Inscryption as “Single-player” and includes “Steam Cloud” among its features. That indicates Steam’s cloud synchronization for the Steam PC product. It does not establish any of the following:

- That a mobile app would use iCloud or Google Play Games.
- That Steam Cloud data can be imported into a phone app.
- That a save made on a console is copied into Steam Cloud.
Cloud storage and cross-platform progression are separate capabilities. A platform can back up saves within its own ecosystem without exchanging those saves with another platform. Even within one ecosystem, cloud synchronization may depend on being signed in to the correct account and allowing the platform’s save service to complete its upload. None of those mobile-specific conditions is specified for this game.
Can you continue a PC or console save on mobile?
No publisher-supported transfer path between mobile and another platform is documented. The official platform information names releases, while the Steam page identifies Steam Cloud for the PC product; neither source describes a shared game account, cross-save server, export/import tool or save-transfer procedure.

PC to mobile
Steam Cloud may synchronize the Steam PC installation with another compatible Steam installation. It does not prove that a future iOS or Android app could read those files. No official PC-to-mobile transfer is specified.

Console to mobile
The platform list confirms console availability but gives no mechanism for moving a PlayStation, Xbox or Switch save into a phone version. Console cloud backup, where provided by the platform, should not be confused with a publisher-wide cross-save account.
iPhone to Android
There is no documented mobile build, so there is also no documented iOS-to-Android save format or account service. If a mobile release appears, interoperability between the two mobile operating systems would need an explicit statement; it should not be assumed from the game being sold on both stores.
Console to PC
The available official information does not promise transfer between any console edition and the Steam edition. Steam Cloud is a Steam feature, not a general-purpose bridge for PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo saves.

“Not listed” is not a claim that a platform can never receive the game. It means the current official platform information does not identify a supported release there.
How to verify a real mobile release if one appears
If you encounter an announcement or store result later, check all of these points before installing or relying on it for a long campaign:
- Confirm the publisher and developer. The first-party store listing should identify the rights holders associated with the official game, not merely reuse the title or artwork.
- Check the platform’s own store. A page on the iOS App Store or Google Play is stronger evidence of availability than a download link on an unrelated website.
- Read the supported-device and version notes. A listing may be restricted to particular operating-system versions, chipsets or screen sizes.
- Look for an explicit offline statement. “Single-player” does not automatically describe installation, licensing or network requirements.
- Identify the save location. The listing or support documentation should say whether saves are local, backed by iCloud or Google Play Games, or synchronized through a publisher account.
- Look for cross-save language, not just cloud language. Cloud backup on one platform is different from progress that can be read by PC and consoles.
- Check iOS/Android compatibility separately. A release on both stores does not guarantee that a save created on one operating system can be opened on the other.
- Read the recovery terms. If deleting the app, changing devices or losing an account can erase local progress, that limitation should be clear before you start.
What about remote streaming or unofficial ports?
Remote streaming can display a copy running on a PC or console on a phone, but the game is still executing on the host system. It is dependent on that system, the streaming software and a sufficiently reliable network; it should not be described as an official mobile port or as offline phone play.
Unofficial ports and sideloaded packages are outside the support represented by the publisher’s platform list. Their save behavior, code integrity, legality, compatibility and security are not established by the official sources. They may also fail to preserve progress when the package is updated or moved to another device. Are there official physical versions for mobile or other platforms?
There is no physical mobile edition in the documented platform list. An official announcement does confirm physical editions for Nintendo Switch and PS5: Special Reserve Games partnered with Devolver Digital and Daniel Mullins Games to create them. Those editions are console products and do not add iOS or Android support, mobile cloud saves or a cross-platform progression system.

Buying a Switch or PS5 copy therefore gives you an officially announced physical option on that console, not a license that can be installed on a phone or connected to a Steam save.

“I want to play on a flight.”
There is no documented official phone build to install for that purpose. A supported PC or console copy may have its own offline behavior, but the mobile question cannot be answered from the current platform information.
“I replaced my phone and do not want to lose progress.”
No official mobile save service is documented. Do not assume that a similarly named app, a device backup or a platform account will restore an Inscryption save.
“I own the game on Steam and want the same run on a tablet.”
Steam Cloud covers the Steam product. It does not document a tablet client or a Steam-to-mobile import path.
“I have the Switch version and want to continue on PC.”
No official cross-save or transfer procedure between those editions is specified.
“I found an Android download outside Google Play.”
