Why the word totals do not prove a winner
The two numbers are not a like-for-like comparison on the available information. Guinness provides dialogue and non-dialogue totals for Baldur’s Gate III, while VGC’s report of Warhorse’s Kingdom Come: Deliverance II figure gives no matching breakdown. The sources also do not establish that both counts use the same rules for what qualifies as script text.

He called it “an interesting challenge to see if we could keep the story intact,” according to the festival’s account. That comparison conveys the scale of the adaptation challenge; it is not a separate measurement of the game’s script length.
