Little Nightmares III does not support crossplay between different manufacturers—for example, PlayStation players cannot join Xbox or PC players. Can you play Little Nightmares III with someone on another platform?
No, not across different manufacturers. How Friend’s Pass works
Friend’s Pass affects who needs to own the game, not which platforms can connect. Bandai Namco says one player can own the full game while the other downloads Free Trial & Friend’s Pass; they can play the full campaign together online on the same platform. Trial progress carries over if the pass player later buys the full game. Both players can also download the pass to try the beginning together. What to check before inviting a friend
- Confirm you are using the same manufacturer’s platform; cross-manufacturer co-op is unsupported.
- If one of you is on Switch and the other on Switch 2, the January 2026 update enables cross-generation multiplayer.
- If you are pairing PS4 with PS5 or Xbox One with Xbox Series X|S, verify the current support status for that exact pairing rather than assuming it works.
- For same-platform co-op, one full-game copy can be enough when the other player uses Free Trial & Friend’s Pass.
