No. Mew does not produce Eggs under the breeding rules Pokémon documents for Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. Mew’s official Pokédex entry lists its gender as unknown, and the games’ documented Nursery rules require either a compatible male-and-female pair or a Ditto paired with a Pokémon outside the No Eggs Discovered group.
Why can’t Mew make an Egg?
The official Pokédex entry for Mew identifies it as National Pokédex #0151 and lists its gender as unknown. That means Mew cannot form the male-and-female pair described in Pokémon’s Sword and Shield breeding guidance.
The same guidance rules out the Ditto method: a Ditto can produce an Egg with a Pokémon only if that Pokémon is outside the No Eggs Discovered group. Pokémon’s guidance does not provide a Mew-specific Egg Group listing, but its stated rule and Mew’s listed gender answer the question: Mew does not make Eggs through the documented breeding conditions.

The breeding conditions above are specifically documented for Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. The cited sources do not establish that every Pokémon game uses identical breeding mechanics, so treat the Nursery explanation as specific to those two games rather than a universal rule for the series.
