For a scheduled OneStream Live broadcast, yes: its Help Center says that after you edit the scheduled stream and select a replacement video, the upcoming broadcast will use that video while retaining the scheduled stream’s settings and timing. If the broadcast is already live, the available instructions do not confirm whether replacing a video file affects playback or keeps the active YouTube stream running.
What happens when you replace a video on a scheduled stream?
OneStream Live’s Help Center documents replacing the video selected for a scheduled broadcast. The new video is used for the upcoming broadcast; this is an edit to the scheduled event, not a documented change to a video already playing in an active transmission. The instructions say the scheduled stream can be edited without creating a new broadcast or changing its schedule.
Replace the video before the broadcast starts
- Open Streams and edit the scheduled stream.
- Remove the currently selected video.
- Add the replacement video from your device, OneStream storage, or cloud storage.
- Continue through the destinations, stream details, and broadcast details.
- Schedule the broadcast. OneStream Live says the upcoming broadcast will automatically use the new video.
These steps and the stated result are for an upcoming scheduled broadcast, as described in OneStream Live’s “How to Change a Video in a Scheduled Stream?” help article. Its prerecorded-stream guidance also describes editing scheduled playlist content and proceeding through setup before scheduling.
What if the stream is already live?
That behavior is not established by the reviewed instructions. They do not say whether replacing a source file during an active broadcast changes playback, interrupts it, or leaves the YouTube transmission unaffected. The scheduled-stream guidance is not a guarantee of uninterrupted playback after a broadcast has started.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
If uninterrupted live playback matters, ask OneStream Live support about the exact active-broadcast scenario before replacing the file. Do not assume that changing the source file will keep the stream running or that YouTube will continue, restart, or update playback in a particular way.
Check which OneStream Live mode you are using
OneStream Live documents different broadcast modes, including prerecorded streams, studio livestreams, and 24/7 streaming. These are not interchangeable: the replacement instructions above concern a scheduled stream, not a confirmed mid-broadcast file swap. OneStream Live labels its 24/7 streaming mode as YouTube-only in its 24/7 streaming help article.
