Sometimes. If you mean the 80-attempt guarantee for any 6-star on an RE-Factor Headhunting banner, progress carries to another RE-Factor banner until you obtain a 6-star; that result resets the counter. Featured-operator guarantees and rewards have narrower rules, and other banner types may not carry pity at all.
Which pity counter are you asking about?
“Pity” can mean the guarantee for any 6-star, a guarantee for a featured operator, or progress toward banner-specific rewards. Those counters do not necessarily share the same carryover rules. First identify the banner type, then the counter and the banners across which its progress applies.
RE-Factor Headhunting: the 80-attempt guarantee
Gryphline’s 2026 RE-Factor Headhunting rules guarantee a 5-star or better operator within 10 headhunting attempts and a 6-star operator within 80 attempts. The 6-star guarantee is shared across RE-Factor Headhunting banners: if you have not obtained a 6-star, attempts carry to another RE-Factor banner. Getting a 6-star resets that counter. These are publisher-defined guarantees, not independent probability findings. Official RE-Factor Headhunting rules.
So, if you are asking whether the 80-pull guarantee carries to the next banner, the answer is yes when both banners are RE-Factor and you have not pulled a 6-star in the meantime. Do not assume the same counter applies to a Chartered, Special, or weapon banner.

Featured guarantee: same-name series only
The Resplendent Spectrum RE-Factor notice guarantees its rate-up 6-star within the first 120 attempts, once across banners in the Resplendent Spectrum series. Progress carries to future banners with that same name; this is not a universal featured-operator guarantee that follows you across all banner series. Resplendent Spectrum guarantee notice.
Milestone rewards: same-name series rules
For the documented Resplendent Spectrum series, progress toward the 30-, 60-, and 90-attempt Urgent Recruitment milestones, as well as the reward at 240 attempts, carries forward within that same-name series. Unused Urgent Recruitment pulls also carry within the series. Bonus free 10-pulls do not count toward RE-Factor guarantees or reward totals. RE-Factor rules; Resplendent Spectrum notice.

Exceptions: Special, Chartered, and weapon banners
Special Headhunting
Fest of Brilliance Special Headhunting had independent guarantee counts that did not carry to or from other headhunting banners, and its accumulated attempts reset when the banner ended. That is a documented rule for this banner, not proof that every Special banner uses identical terms. Fest of Brilliance notice.
Chartered Headhunting
A cited Chartered Headhunting notice says the bonus Urgent Recruitment awarded at 30 attempts is valid only on that banner and does not carry over. Its free 10-pull does not count toward guarantee or reward totals. These are banner-specific terms; check the notice for the Chartered banner you are considering. Chartered Headhunting notice.
Weapon issues
In the cited Tag Artist RE-Factor Issue, the guarantee for any 6-star weapon after three unsuccessful issues applies only to that issue and does not carry over. Separately, the rate-up weapon guarantee after seven unsuccessful issues and cumulative issue rewards carry to later issues with the same name. Do not treat either rule as the operator-banner system. Tag Artist RE-Factor Issue notice.
How to check whether your progress carries
- Identify the banner type. Check whether it is RE-Factor, Chartered, Special, or a weapon issue.
- Identify the counter. Determine whether you mean the any-6-star guarantee, a featured-operator guarantee, a reward milestone, or a weapon guarantee.
- Check the stated scope. Look for whether the notice says progress is shared across a banner type, carries only within a same-name series, applies only to the current banner, or resets.
- Read the live in-game rules before spending. The September 2026 notice directs players to the Headhunting screen for detailed rules once the banner begins.
For a current example, Gryphline’s September 23, 2026 notice listed Resplendent Spectrum RE-Factor Headhunting #1, opening September 24, with Yvonne rate-up; it stated that the 120-attempt featured guarantee carries within future Resplendent Spectrum banners. September 23, 2026 banner notice.
