Resident Evil Requiem has already launched: Capcom announced February 27, 2026, as its release date. Capcom’s current official listings do not advertise early access to the full game. A separate demo is listed on PlayStation and Steam, where players can try a portion of the opening stages.
Does Resident Evil Requiem have early access?
No official early-access period for the complete game is advertised in the current Capcom, PlayStation, or Steam listings. The full game has been released, and the storefronts list its demo separately from the complete game. That distinction matters: a demo is a limited sample, not early access to the full release. This describes the official listings; it does not establish whether an individual retailer delivered a physical copy ahead of launch.
Capcom announced February 27, 2026, as the release date for Resident Evil Requiem, the ninth main installment in the survival-horror series. Its platform announcement includes PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. Capcom’s announcement is the reference for the release date and platform lineup. Storefront dates can vary by territory or local time; for example, the US-facing Steam result can show February 26, while Capcom’s announced date is February 27.
Is there a Resident Evil Requiem demo?
Yes. PlayStation has a separate Resident Evil Requiem demo listing, dated May 27, 2026, describing access to part of the game’s early stages. Steam’s official game page labels the demo available and says it covers the opening stages; its news list includes a demo notice dated June 22, 2026.

Those listings establish demo availability on PlayStation and Steam. They do not establish that every platform has the same demo, restrictions, or content, so check the storefront for the platform you use.
What does the Requiem demo include?
The official descriptions identify a sample of the early part of the game: PlayStation says part of the early stages, while Steam says the opening stages. Neither description, as cited here, specifies an exact playtime or a complete list of scenes and features. Do not assume that progress transfers to the full game unless your platform’s listing explicitly says so.
