It does not guarantee that every Roblox experience will place you in São Paulo, that you can manually select Brazil, or that your ping will always be low. Does every Roblox game have Brazil servers?
No universal guarantee has been published. Roblox operates the platform, but individual experiences can differ in their server availability, matchmaking behavior, and rollout timing. A São Paulo server appearing in one experience—particularly the server observed in Blox Fruits—does not prove that every Roblox game has access to the same location.

Even when São Paulo capacity is available, matchmaking may choose another region. The selected server can depend on the experience’s configuration, available capacity, the players in your party, and Roblox’s routing and matchmaking systems. The May 2025 announcement did not promise a universal region selector or a feature that would let every player force a São Paulo server.
What Roblox said the São Paulo data center should improve
Roblox associated the project with several potential improvements for Brazilian players and creators:
- shorter response times;
- lower latency where traffic reaches the São Paulo infrastructure efficiently;
- less jitter, meaning fewer sudden variations in network delay;
- faster loading; and
- a stronger environment for high-performance gameplay and creation.
These are infrastructure goals, not an individual performance guarantee. A nearby data center reduces one major source of delay—the physical and network distance to the server—but the complete connection also depends on the route between your ISP and Roblox, congestion, peering arrangements, packet loss, Wi-Fi conditions, and the experience’s own server behavior.

Why can a Brazilian player still have high ping?
Geographic proximity is only part of the path. A player near São Paulo can still experience poor performance if packets take an inefficient route, are dropped and retransmitted, or encounter congestion between the ISP and Roblox. Two players in the same city may therefore see different results, especially if they use different providers.
Roblox staff’s early-2026 updates are important here: they said their analytics showed networking issues in South America, particularly Brazil, and later identified a strong correlation between packet loss and certain internet service providers. That means a timeout or fluctuating ping is not automatically evidence that Brazil servers do not exist. It may indicate an ISP-routing or packet-loss problem affecting an otherwise nearby server.
It also works in the other direction: the presence of a São Paulo server is not proof that every connection will have a stable, low-latency session.

How to tell whether your problem is local, regional, or experience-specific
Use this process to collect useful evidence rather than assuming that a new router or VPN will solve the issue.

- Record the pattern. Note the date, approximate time, experience name, whether the issue is high ping, rubber-banding, packet loss, or a timeout, and whether it affects everyone in your session.
- Compare connection types carefully. If practical, compare wired Ethernet with Wi-Fi or test another connection. This can identify a local wireless problem, but a successful local test does not rule out an ISP or Roblox routing issue.
- Check whether other services fail at the same time. If only Roblox is affected, the problem may be on the Roblox path or in the experience. If multiple services show packet loss, investigate your home network or ISP.
- Record your ISP and location at a broad level. Roblox staff specifically linked some reports to ISP-related packet loss. Do not publish private account or network information in a forum post.
- Report repeatable failures through Roblox’s support channels or the relevant official forum thread. Include the evidence above. A useful report can help Roblox and network providers correlate the incident.
Can you force a São Paulo Roblox server?
There is no universal, officially documented player-controlled method established by the cited Roblox announcements and support discussions to force every experience to use São Paulo. A game’s server browser or private-server system may expose options, but those features are experience-specific and should not be treated as a Roblox-wide region selector.
Be cautious with advice claiming that a VPN, a PC optimizer, or a particular router will guarantee a Brazil server or permanently reduce ping. A VPN can change your route, sometimes for better and sometimes for worse, but it cannot create capacity in an experience that does not use São Paulo, and it may add another source of delay. Likewise, Ethernet can improve a congested or unstable Wi-Fi connection, but it cannot repair packet loss or peering problems outside your home.

Can I force Roblox to connect to São Paulo?
