Does S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 support cross-play?
Cross-play—playing together with people on other platforms—has not been confirmed in the cited official information. The fact that the game is available on multiple platforms does not establish that its future multiplayer will connect them.
Xbox Wire’s March 26, 2026 platform overview lists Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Xbox Cloud, PC storefronts (Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG), and PS5. It also notes that the base game supports Xbox Play Anywhere. Neither platform availability nor Play Anywhere confirms cross-play.

Are cross-platform saves the same as cross-play?
No. GSC’s cross-platform save support page, updated September 21, 2026, describes cross-progression between Xbox and PC via the Microsoft Store when both use the same Microsoft account. Cross-progression syncs save progress between devices; it does not mean players on separate platforms can join the same multiplayer session.
