Split Fiction supports online cross-play, so two players can play together even if they use different supported platforms. EA’s current game page lists PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC; one player can invite a friend through Friend’s Pass without that friend owning the full game.
Which platforms can play together?
EA’s current Split Fiction game page says cross-play is available across PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC. EA Help’s setup article names PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but does not mention Switch 2. For Switch 2, the current product page is the EA source that confirms cross-play; check EA’s current platform-specific setup guidance if you run into an issue.
The official materials cited here do not establish support for the original Nintendo Switch. Nintendo Switch 2 and the original Switch are different platforms, so do not assume compatibility between them.
How do you play online with a friend?
EA’s Friend’s Pass lets a friend join online co-op for free when one player owns the full game. EA says it works across the platforms it lists for cross-play. Both players need to link an EA Account to their platform account.
