No—Star Wars Battlefront II does not support cross-play between PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. To play together, friends need to use the same platform, according to EA staff guidance.
Can Battlefront II players on different platforms play together?
No. EA staff responses say Star Wars Battlefront II has no cross-platform play. In an EA Forums reply, staff member EA_Ataashi wrote: “Unfortunately, we don’t have any plans for bringing the cross-platform play to Star Wars Battlefront II.” That was the guidance in that thread, not a new announcement in 2026. Does cross-progression let you move progress between platforms?
No. Cross-play means players on different platforms can join the same multiplayer game; cross-progression means carrying a save or unlocks between platforms. EA says Battlefront II does not support cross-progression: progress remains on the platform where you first played and cannot be transferred to another platform. Which platforms is Battlefront II available on?
EA’s product page lists EA app, Steam, and Epic Games for PC, as well as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Availability on multiple platforms does not mean those versions can play together. Check EA’s product page.
The product page also says online play requires an EA Account. Console online play requires the applicable PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold membership, sold separately. Requirements and store listings can change.

What about playing across console generations?
The cited EA guidance establishes that players need the same platform, but it does not settle every console-generation or backward-compatibility combination. Check the relevant console’s current compatibility details rather than assuming that a newer console version can play with an older one.
