Yes—Temple Run: Oz was a real mobile game, released in 2013 as a collaboration between Imangi Studios and Disney Interactive Studios and inspired by the film Oz the Great and Powerful. It is no longer listed in app stores, according to Imangi’s support article, which links its removal to the closure of Disney Interactive Studios.
What was Temple Run: Oz?
Temple Run: Oz was a film-inspired spin-off of the endless-running mobile game series. Imangi Studios’ support article identifies it as a 2013 collaboration with Disney Interactive Studios, based on Oz the Great and Powerful. Imangi’s support article
What made its adventure different?
Disney’s launch-era promotional page placed the run in the Land of Oz. It highlighted routes along the Yellow Brick Road, swipe controls for turning, jumping and sliding, and a hot-air-balloon bonus feature. These details give the spin-off its Oz-specific identity; they are not a full comparison of every gameplay feature with the original game. Disney’s launch-era page
Is Temple Run: Oz still available?
Imangi says Temple Run: Oz and other Disney apps were removed from app stores following the closure of Disney Interactive Studios. The support notice does not establish whether a former player can redownload the game from purchase history, whether an existing installation still runs on a particular device, or whether regional exceptions exist.
Is the current Temple Run app the same game?
No. The currently listed Temple Run is the original game, not Temple Run: Oz. Imangi’s FAQ says the original is available for iOS and Android, subject to device requirements, and can be played offline after its initial download; Daily, Weekly and Global Challenges may not be available offline. Those details apply to the original game only. Original Temple Run on Apple’s US App Store · Imangi Studios FAQ
