Short answer: Scopely’s official support guidance says using airplane mode to manipulate game mechanics is contrary to its terms of service. Whether the specific Partner Event wheel exploit still works has not been confirmed by an authoritative source. The regular wheel uses Partner Currency to earn progress points, with slices and event values that can vary.
How the Partner Event wheel works
Scopely describes Partners Events as cooperative minigames in which players work together to build individual Attractions. You spend Partner Currency on an Attraction’s wheel to earn progress points toward rewards. The active event panel in the game is the best place to check its current costs, slices and rewards, since event details may change.
Currency, spins and wheel slices
Scopely’s Tycoon Bootcamp guide, published December 23, 2025, describes a minimum spin cost of 20 Partner Currency. A multiplier uses more currency and increases the points represented on the wheel. The guide lists Partner Gift, Free Spin, Jackpot and Mega Spin as possible slices; it does not promise that every event will use the same wheel or rewards. Leftover Partner Currency converts to cash when the event ends, according to that guide.
Partners and shared progress
Scopely’s guide says you can team up with up to four partners and that each Attraction has five reward stages. Google Play’s general event guidance describes four partner slots, shared progress and milestone rewards for both partners, regardless of which one earned more points. It also describes a five-day event period, but these guide-level details are not a guarantee that every live event has identical terms.

Scopely recommends choosing a communicative partner, planning how to allocate resources and saving Partner Currency. Its guide presents an even contribution split as a common target, not a requirement.
What Scopely says about airplane mode
The MONOPOLY GO! Help Center’s Polish-language article, “Can I play on airplane mode?”, says that using airplane mode to change a dice result or manipulate game mechanics is contrary to the terms of service. That is an English translation of the article’s Polish wording, not an English-language quotation. The support article does not name Partner Event wheel spins specifically; applying its general rule to an attempt to manipulate that wheel is an inference from its wording.

The same support article says the game reconnects automatically if a connection is briefly interrupted by an unstable network. That describes reconnection behavior, not permission to use airplane mode to alter a result.
Does the wheel hack still work?
Its current technical status could not be confirmed from authoritative sources. Scopely’s support guidance establishes the policy against manipulating game mechanics, but it does not report a current test or patch status for the Partner Event wheel.

A third-party guide published October 1, 2026, reports that the airplane-mode glitch was patched. The page says it is not affiliated with Scopely, and the official source reviewed does not confirm that report or its additional claim about a daily login limit. Treat the patch claim as unverified, not as settled status.

For event planning, follow the live in-game panel rather than assuming figures from a general guide are unchanged. Google Play’s event editorial says event dates are not announced in advance, so the game itself is also the practical place to look for an active event.
