The Amulet of the Devout can provide one Channel Divinity use without spending one of the feature’s normal uses, and its spell save DC bonus also raises the DC of Channel Divinity effects that use your class’s spell save DC. Those are separate benefits: the extra use is available once until the next dawn.
How the amulet affects Channel Divinity
The item text, attributed to Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything in a secondary transcription, says its wearer can use Channel Divinity without expending one of the feature’s uses. The property cannot be used again until the next dawn. The item is presented for cleric and paladin attunement. See the item text.
This is an additional use granted by the item, not an increase to the number of ordinary uses your class feature provides. The amulet property has its own refresh limit; it does not reset merely because you finish a rest.
Does it increase a Channel Divinity saving throw DC?
Yes, when the Channel Divinity effect calls for a saving throw. The 2024 System Reference Document 5.2 states: “If a Channel Divinity effect requires a saving throw, the DC equals the spell save DC from this class’s Spellcasting feature.” Read the 2024 SRD.

The amulet also grants a bonus to spell attack rolls and spell save DCs based on its rarity. Because the relevant Channel Divinity save uses the class’s spell save DC, that bonus increases the save DC as well. The cleric and paladin class rules make the same connection for their respective features: cleric and paladin.
Keep the two benefits separate
- Extra use: One use of Channel Divinity without expending a normal use; the amulet property becomes available again at the next dawn.
- Higher DC: The amulet’s spell save DC bonus applies to Channel Divinity effects that use your class’s spell save DC.
