You still need to own the game on each platform where you want to play.
How Motorfest cross-progression works
Progress is tied to your Ubisoft account rather than being limited to the platform where you started. Ubisoft’s game-specific support page says to log in with the same account when playing on another platform. Its general account guidance describes progression access on platforms linked to your Ubisoft account where you own the game.

That means cross-progression carries your game progress between supported platforms; it does not grant a copy of Motorfest for every platform. If you want to switch from one console or PC platform to another, make sure the game is available to you on the destination platform as well.
Do purchases and in-game content transfer?
Progression and purchases are not necessarily the same thing. Ubisoft says some in-game content is shared, but its Motorfest support page does not itemize every transferable currency, vehicle, expansion, or other entitlement. Do not assume every purchase or piece of content will follow your save between all platform combinations.

The Nintendo Switch 2 release has a specific restriction: Ubisoft says the version launching on October 8, 2026 supports cross-progression and cross-save, but purchases made through another platform’s store do not transfer to the Switch 2 version. Your progress can carry over even when those purchases do not.
Set up the same Ubisoft account
If your platform account is not linked to the Ubisoft account you use for Motorfest, Ubisoft’s account instructions are:

- Sign in to Ubisoft’s Account Information page.
- Open Linked accounts.
- Find the platform account you use to play and select Link.
- Follow the pop-up steps to complete the connection.
Ubisoft also says you can link a platform account by launching a game and signing in to Ubisoft Connect.

Before changing a link, verify which Ubisoft account is connected to the platform account you use for Motorfest. Ubisoft warns that linking or unlinking accounts can have a permanent effect on games and subscriptions. Its unlinking guidance also warns that unlinking can remove access to content purchased through a platform store; you may need to relink the same platform account to regain access.

If progress does not appear after switching platforms, first confirm that you launched the game with the same Ubisoft account and that the destination platform account is linked to it. Avoid unlinking accounts as a troubleshooting shortcut unless you have checked Ubisoft’s guidance and understand the possible effect on games, subscriptions, and store-purchased content.
