No—the documented versions of the infinite-stratagem glitch have been patched. The name has referred to more than one bug, though: an original exploit tied to being kicked for inactivity, a later stratagem-spamming bug, and a separate glitch that allowed duplicate stratagems. Patch reports document fixes for each; they do not prove that every possible new method is fixed in every current build.
What happened to the original infinite-stratagem exploit?
The original exploit was reported to involve being kicked for inactivity and then using stratagems without cooldowns. Rock Paper Shotgun reported on February 28, 2024, that Arrowhead had fixed it. An older video or guide describing that AFK-kick method is therefore not evidence that it works now.

Were later stratagem bugs patched too?
Stratagem-spamming bug
Insider Gaming reported that emergency hotfix 01.003.001 went out on May 16, 2025. The reported fix says: “Fix for the Stratagem spamming bug that caused severe crashing.” That establishes a fix for a later spamming issue, but does not identify it as the original AFK-kick exploit.
Multiple copies of the same stratagem
The official Helldivers 2 Steam patch notes dated March 17, 2026 state: “Fixed a glitch that would let a player take multiples of the same stratagem.” This is a documented fix for a related duplication glitch, not confirmation that it was the same method as the 2024 exploit.

Can you still do the glitch?
Based on those patch reports, no: the known, documented versions have been patched. The reports describe different issues across different updates, so a guide for one version should not be assumed to describe another. Patch history is not the same as a live test of every method in the build available on October 8, 2026; no current gameplay reproduction test is established here.
