Blizzard offered three days of early access to the World of Warcraft: Midnight expansion with the Epic Edition. That access window has passed: Blizzard scheduled the worldwide launch for March 2, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. PST, and confirmed the expansion was live on March 3.
Which edition included Midnight expansion early access?
Blizzard’s November 26, 2025 announcement listed three days of early access to the expansion as an Epic Edition benefit, alongside beta access and 30 days of game time. The announcement did not list this expansion-access entitlement for the Base or Heroic editions. See Blizzard’s Midnight launch announcement for the edition details.
Blizzard scheduled Midnight’s worldwide launch for March 2, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. PST. The announcement described the early-access period as at least three days and noted timing could change because of outages and time-zone differences. This was Blizzard’s announced schedule, not a guarantee that every regional account experienced identical access timing.
Was Housing Early Access the same thing?
No. Blizzard used “Housing Early Access” for a separate preview of the housing feature. Purchasers of any Midnight edition could access it during the “The Warning” prologue update; Blizzard said the full suite of housing options would arrive with the expansion launch. It was not the Epic Edition’s three-day early access to the expansion itself. The distinction is set out in the same official announcement.

Can you still use the early-access period?
No. The original early-access window was tied to the 2026 launch and is over. Blizzard’s March 3, 2026 update stated that Midnight was live; it also described content from the early-access period. See World of Warcraft: Midnight Now Live!.

These entitlements and dates come from Blizzard’s November 26, 2025 launch notice. Blizzard’s Midnight Expansion Information Wrapped Up also discussed the Collector’s Edition, but the cited announcement does not identify it as a way to obtain the Epic Edition’s three-day expansion early access.
