A January 2025 leak pointed to a May 15 release for DOOM: The Dark Ages. Bethesda later confirmed that date, and the game launched on May 15, 2025.
Did the leak get the release date right?
Yes. Nintendo Life reported on January 22, 2025, that a Gamekult article appeared prematurely and listed May 15 as the release date. That account is secondary reporting on how the date surfaced; the exact original page and its publication history are not independently established here. Nintendo Life’s report described May 15 as a seeming leak.

What should PC players check before buying?
Bethesda’s PC requirements say a hardware ray-tracing-capable GPU is required even at minimum settings. For a higher target, the requirements list 1440p at 60 FPS on high settings with a ray-tracing-capable GPU and 10 GB of dedicated VRAM or better. The Ultra 4K/60 FPS target calls for at least 16 GB of dedicated VRAM, 32 GB of RAM, and a 512 GB or larger NVMe SSD with 100 GB available. These are targets in Bethesda’s published requirements, not a guarantee of identical performance on every system. Check the current requirements page before purchasing or upgrading, as specifications can be updated. Bethesda’s PC requirements
