Double Door Escape is a short point-and-click browser escape game set in a castle room. The reliable solution path is to search every room view for a green fuse, stopper, pipe, knife, cheese, rope and mouse trap; assemble a mouse-catching setup; use the mouse with the mechanism by the barred opening and its red and blue wires; then build, ignite and place an explosive at the locked door. This guide covers the 2009 game associated with Escapefever, not the separate 2016 Yolk title with a similar name.
The original listing is dated 24 December 2009, so an old embedded version may not run in every modern browser. The walkthrough below describes the documented item logic while flagging places where the surviving descriptions use inconsistent wording.

Which Double Door Escape is this guide for?
Several pages use almost the same name. This walkthrough targets the 2009 Double Door Escape, a castle-room game identified in the contemporary listing on Juegos de Escape. An independent listing also associates the game with Escapefever and repeats the same mouse, wire and explosive puzzles (Juegos de Escape, 2014 page). Do not substitute clues from Yolk Double Door Room Escape, which is a separate game posted in April 2016 (EscapeGames24).

The surviving walkthroughs are not perfectly consistent about item names and the order in which a few combinations are recorded. For that reason, use the exact hotspot shown in your game view and treat the sequence below as the dependable puzzle chain rather than as a claim that every label is transcribed identically in every mirror.

What you need to collect
Search normal and zoomed views before trying to force a puzzle. The item list named by the walkthrough material is:
| Item | How it functions in the solution | What to check if it seems useless |
|---|---|---|
| Cheese | Bait for the mouse-catching setup. | Try it with the mouse trap; rope is also part of the documented combination. |
| Rope | Completes the trap-and-bait arrangement that produces a mouse. | Keep it after picking it up; it is not a final-door item. |
| Mouse trap | Base of the mouse puzzle. | Combine it with cheese and then test the rope if the interface requires separate steps. |
| Mouse | Input for the mechanism beside the barred opening. | It is a usable inventory result, not merely a decoration. |
| Pipe or tube | Container/body for the improvised explosive. | Check both names: some descriptions call the same-looking part a pipe, others a tube. |
| Fuse (described as green) | Ignition component for the explosive. | Do not discard it after finding it; it is needed at the end. |
| Stopper | Part of the explosive assembly in the item sequence. | Look for a small plug-like hotspot in close-up views. |
| Knife | Tool in the documented item sequence; use it when a hotspot or combination accepts it. | If it does not trigger immediately, finish collecting the trap items and revisit interactable views. |
| Torch | Lights the assembled explosive. | It is a scene hotspot rather than one of the listed inventory items in the walkthrough. |
The names “cartridge of dynamite,” “explosive,” “pipe,” and “tube” are used inconsistently in player descriptions. In practical terms, they refer to the same final assembly: a charge placed in a container, closed or completed with the stopper, and fitted with the fuse.
Walkthrough: escape the castle room
1. Sweep every view and zoomed detail
Start by clicking methodically through the castle room. Inspect corners, furniture, wall details, the floor, the door area and any barred opening. Point-and-click games from this period often hide an item behind a close-up transition, so a first pass that checks only the wide room image can leave the chain apparently broken.

2. Assemble the mouse-catching setup
Combine the cheese with the mouse trap. If the game does not accept that as a single action, place one item on the other in the inventory and then add the rope. The documented hints describe all three objects—cheese, rope and trap—as the route to obtaining a mouse; the surviving text does not establish one universal click order.
When the combination succeeds, the inventory should show a mouse or otherwise indicate that the baited trap has produced one. If nothing changes, verify that you have the actual mouse trap rather than clicking a similar-looking grate, and make sure the rope has been collected from a zoomed view. Do not move on to the explosive until this result appears: the mouse is the input needed for the next mechanism.
3. Find the barred opening
Locate the barred opening or grate in the room and inspect it closely. Look for the nearby device and the two wires described as red and blue. The wires are a clue that this is an interactive mechanism, not just background scenery.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsUse the mouse on the device associated with the grate. Depending on the version or the way the hotspot is labelled, you may need to click the mouse on the mechanism first and then interact with the wires, or select the device and use the mouse from the inventory. The important state change is that the mouse is accepted by the red-and-blue-wire apparatus. Player comments identify this as the middle link between the trap puzzle and the locked door.

4. Recheck the room after the mechanism changes
After the mouse mechanism activates, inspect the grate, nearby wall and surrounding close-ups again. Escape-game scenes commonly reveal an item or an accessible hotspot only after a state change. If a previously inert area now responds, collect anything it exposes and return to the inventory.
This is also the point to confirm that the pipe or tube, stopper and green fuse are present. The knife belongs to the documented item sequence as well; if you skipped it, search the room again before attempting the final assembly. A missing component is the most likely reason the explosive combination will not register.
5. Build the explosive
Combine the explosive material or cartridge with the pipe (also called a tube in some descriptions). Add the stopper and the green fuse as the interface permits. The exact intermediate inventory label can vary, but the finished object should clearly be an assembled explosive with a fuse rather than four unrelated parts.

In this game, the final explosive is assembled from the collected parts. If a combination fails, try the pipe/tube as the base, then the charge, stopper and fuse one at a time. Check that you are not trying to use the rope, mouse trap or mouse in this assembly; those belong to the earlier mechanism.

6. Light the fuse at the torch
Find the torch hotspot in the castle room and use it with the assembled explosive. The fuse must be lit before the door will accept the object. If selecting the torch does nothing, select the explosive first and then click the torch; older interfaces often require that direction of interaction.
Once lit, use the explosive on the locked door or its lock area. Place it on the lock rather than on an unrelated part of the doorway. The documented solution ends with the ignited charge being used at the door, which triggers the escape sequence.
7. Allow the ending to trigger
After placing the lit explosive, give the game a moment to process the action and click the door if required. If the door remains unchanged, remove and reselect the item, confirm that the fuse was lit at the torch, and target the lock hotspot specifically. A completed mouse mechanism and an unlit or incomplete charge are the two most common state mismatches indicated by the available walkthrough descriptions.

- Search every room view and close-up for the green fuse, pipe or tube, stopper, knife, cheese, rope and mouse trap.
- The cheese is bait. The trap and rope are part of the same setup; the result you need is a mouse.
- The mouse belongs at the barred opening, where a device is associated with red and blue wires.
- The door solution is not a key. Assemble the charge in the pipe or tube, fit the fuse, light it at the torch and apply it to the lock.
Troubleshooting the item chain
“I have cheese and a trap, but no mouse.”
Collect the rope and retry the combination. The hints describe cheese, rope and trap together, while some listings phrase the first action as cheese plus trap. Try both interface orders, then revisit the barred opening only after the mouse appears in the inventory.
“The red and blue wires do nothing.”
Use the mouse on the device by the grate first. The wires identify the mechanism, but they are not documented as a standalone color-code puzzle with a published sequence. Avoid inventing a red-then-blue switch order; the available instructions support using the mouse as the mechanism’s input.
“Where is the dynamite or cartridge?”
Search the room’s close-ups for the explosive material and the pipe or tube separately. The final object is assembled, so one inventory item may not be labelled “dynamite” until the combination is complete. Keep the green fuse and stopper for this stage.

Light the fuse with the torch, then use the lit object on the lock. A completed but unlit assembly is not the documented final state. If it is lit and still fails, target the lock hotspot rather than the door panel and verify that the mouse mechanism was completed earlier.
“I cannot find one of the listed items.”
Return to every zoomed view and inspect edges, floor-level areas and objects revealed after the grate mechanism changes. The sources provide the item names and roles, but not a reliable coordinate map; hotspot placement can differ between archived embeds.
What is known about the game’s availability
The title is documented as a 24 December 2009 browser game in which the player escapes a castle room (original listing). The available sources do not establish a current supported browser, a maintained official host, a paid edition or a verified downloadable copy. If an old page shows a blank game area, that is a compatibility or preservation issue rather than a new puzzle step; use the dated walkthrough references to identify the intended item chain, and do not assume that a similarly named 2016 game is a replacement.
Double Door Escape versus the 2016 Yolk game
The distinction matters when searching for help. The 2009 game’s documented chain is cheese, rope and mouse trap; a mouse used at a barred opening with red and blue wires; and an ignited pipe-and-fuse explosive at the locked door. The separate Yolk Double Door Room Escape page is dated April 2016 and should not be used to infer locations, combinations or endings for this castle-room game (EscapeGames24 listing).
