What cars and vehicles are in Drag Drive Simulator?
The official Roblox wording identifies four broad groups:

Which car is best?

Do upgrades make your car faster?
Public update wording confirms customization categories, not performance results. DDS has mentioned wheel or rim types, materials and accessories, and vehicle lighting settings. Those features may change how a vehicle looks, but the available official information does not say that any of them increase speed, acceleration, grip, braking, or another driving statistic.

How do I save my progress?

Start with availability, then fit the vehicle to your purpose. Standard vehicles are the safest comparison group because they are described as regular additions, while limited vehicles can have a restricted window or changing access. The police vehicle is explicitly named by the creator, but its role requirements and equipment are not documented publicly.
