EA’s recommended Rogue Duelist abilities
EA’s October 31, 2024 launch guide names these four abilities for its sample Duelist Rogue loadout:
- A Thousand Cuts
- Lightning Flask
- Explosive Daggers
- Murder of Crows — the ultimate in the listed setup
The guide presents these as team picks, not as a ranking backed by comparative damage tests. Its recommendation is a practical place to begin if you are playing Duelist, but it does not establish that this is the strongest combination for every player or the latest balance patch. EA’s launch tips
Why there is no single best Rogue loadout
Rogue is one of the game’s three classes, and each class has its own abilities and specializations. Your preferred combat approach and build affect which abilities make sense together. That flexibility makes the Duelist list a starting point rather than a rule: try the recommended abilities, then adjust the wheel and skill tree to suit your character. The available official information does not provide a numerical tier list comparing Duelist, Saboteur, and Veil Ranger abilities, so there is no sourced basis here for declaring one specialization’s abilities universally superior.
How to use the recommendation
- Start with the four abilities EA lists for Duelist. Equip A Thousand Cuts, Lightning Flask, Explosive Daggers, and Murder of Crows as the ultimate.
- Try the setup in combat. Consider whether it fits the way you want to play; the official recommendation is an example, not a promise of optimal results for your build.
- Change abilities between fights. EA says you can swap your abilities—and your companions’ abilities—outside combat.
- Respec if your skill choices need a broader change. EA says you can reset individual skill nodes or the full tree, giving you room to experiment.
