EA lists 16 GB of RAM and 100 GB of storage for both PC requirement tiers; the recommended tier requires an SSD, while an HDD is supported at minimum. On PS5 Pro, EA says both Fidelity and Performance modes get visual improvements, including ray-traced ambient occlusion in Performance mode. The announced preload dates were for the game’s October 31, 2024 launch and have passed.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard PC requirements
EA’s current PC system requirements list the following Windows specifications. These are hardware tiers, not promises of a particular PC resolution or frame rate.

How to interpret the tiers
The recommended tier raises the processor and graphics requirements, but memory stays at 16 GB. Storage is the practical difference for players choosing a drive: EA prefers an SSD at minimum and requires one for the recommended tier. The requirements page does not list GPU memory requirements or map either tier to a specific resolution, graphics preset, or frame rate.
EA separately describes PC settings for ray tracing on and off and says high-end PCs can use ray-tracing features and uncapped frame rates. That does not establish a particular performance target for the minimum or recommended parts.

What PS5 Pro improves
In its October 15, 2024 Journal #11, EA said The Veilguard was specifically enhanced for PS5 Pro. According to EA, both 30 FPS Fidelity and 60 FPS Performance modes receive improved resolution and visual settings. EA also credits Sony’s AI-based PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) upscaler for upgraded image quality.
The specific mode difference EA highlighted is ray-traced ambient occlusion (RTAO): EA said it is enabled in PS5 Pro’s 60 FPS Performance mode, whereas on the base PS5 it had been available only in 30 FPS Fidelity mode. These are developer-published descriptions, not independent benchmark results or a guarantee of a locked 60 FPS in every scene.

The US PlayStation listing currently marks the game PS5 Pro Enhanced. EA does not describe PS5 Pro as required hardware; the game is also available on base PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

EA said the PC version would not include third-party DRM such as Denuvo and attributed the lack of a PC preload period to that decision. The game launched on October 31, 2024; EA’s launch announcement confirms availability on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
