Hauntings: From Beyond walkthrough
Start the quest and find the Lost Explorer
- After completing the main quest The Siege of Weisshaupt, return to the Necropolis.
- Speak with Myrna to begin From Beyond.
- Go north from the central hub to the Lost Watcher’s Wing and find the Lost Explorer. This location is given by the Gamer Guides walkthrough, published October 27, 2024, and last updated February 3, 2025: Gamer Guides: From Beyond walkthrough.
Fight the Lost Explorer
The Lost Explorer attacks with an axe. The Gamer Guides walkthrough describes a charge followed by a sweep, a leaping chop, a spin, and a multi-hit axe frenzy. Its advice is to learn the timing and parry attacks when you can; move away when a red ground reticle marks a necrotic puddle. Repeated hits build Necrosis, so avoid trading blows.
That guide reports the Lost Explorer is vulnerable to necrotic damage and resistant to cold. These are guide-reported elemental tips, not independently verified combat testing.
Finish and collect rewards
Defeat the Lost Explorer, loot the chest, then report back to Myrna to complete the quest and receive the next Hauntings assignment. Gamer Guides reports a quest reward of 350 EXP, 400 gold, and +250 Mourn Watch Strength. Chest contents can vary: its example run found a Smiling Visage helmet for a mage Rook, so do not treat that item as guaranteed for every character.

Hauntings: Shadows of Fortune walkthrough
Unlock the quest and reach Elvhenan’s Haven
After completing From Beyond, speak with Myrna again to unlock Shadows of Fortune. Travel to Elvhenan’s Haven in the Crossroads and engage the Skeleton Crew. The quest progression and location are reported by Gamer Guides and Game8: Gamer Guides: Shadows of Fortune and Game8: Shadows of Fortune.
Defeat the Skeleton Crew
The encounter consists of four enemies with a shared boss health bar. Game8 recommends area-of-effect skills to damage multiple enemies. The Dragon Age Wiki reports that the skeletons are vulnerable to necrotic damage and resistant to cold; that advice comes from a community-maintained wiki, rather than an official quest guide: Dragon Age Wiki: Shadows of Fortune.

Return to Myrna and check your loot
Once the Skeleton Crew is defeated, return to Myrna to finish the quest. Gamer Guides reports 350 EXP, 400 gold, and +250 Mourn Watch Strength. Loot reports differ: Game8’s result says the final enemy drops an Enchanted Athame, while the community wiki lists class-dependent weapon variants—Rialto Sunsetter for a rogue, Proving Steel for a warrior, or Enchanted Athame for a mage. Treat those weapon details as secondary-source reports and check the item that actually drops for your character.

The reward figures above are reported by guide publishers, not independently confirmed game data. The From Beyond walkthrough was updated February 3, 2025. The Shadows of Fortune details cited here come from search-result excerpts for Game8 and Gamer Guides, and from a community-maintained Dragon Age Wiki; those reports are less directly verifiable than the opened From Beyond guide.
