ZERO is listed at 9.1 GB on Nintendo Switch and 15.4 GB on Nintendo Switch 2. Steam requires 29 GB of available storage for the PC version. These are platform-specific listings, and the PC figure is a storage requirement—not a stated download size.
How much space does Sparking! ZERO take up?
| Platform | Official listing | What the figure means |
|---|---|---|
| Nintendo Switch | 9.1 GB | Nintendo eShop “Game file size” listing, current as checked October 8, 2026; the listing does not show a publication date. |
| Nintendo Switch 2 | 15.4 GB | Nintendo eShop “Game file size” listing, current as checked October 8, 2026; the listing does not show a publication date. |
| PC (Steam) | 29 GB | Steam lists this as required available storage, not an independently measured download or installed size. |
Nintendo’s numbers are presented as game file sizes, while Steam specifies available storage space. Because the listings describe different measures, they should not be treated as a direct comparison of download size or final installed footprint. Nintendo’s current figures appear on its DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO store listing; Steam’s PC requirement is on the Steam store page.
What does the 9.6 GB update figure mean?
Bandai Namco’s October 7, 2024 early-access notice says a 9.6 GB update was released for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam and was required for online play. That is the size of a dated update, not the full game’s file size. It does not establish the current total installation size on any of those platforms. See Bandai Namco’s early-access notice.
Can you use a microSD card for the Switch 2 version?
Yes. Nintendo Support says Switch 2 uses microSD Express for expandable storage. Downloaded games, updates, and DLC can be stored on a compatible card, while save data remains in the console’s system memory. The card is optional: Nintendo says no individual games currently require an additional card, and Switch 2 supports microSD Express cards only—not ordinary microSD cards for this storage expansion. Details are in Nintendo’s Switch 2 FAQ.
