Frieza’s Episode Battle has four main branch points. Win the timed Namek fight for Immortal Body; defeat Goku without transforming into Full Power for Fall of the Saiyans; beat Future Trunks for Rematch with Goku; and defeat Goku and Vegeta before Golden Frieza reverts to unlock the longer Frieza Force Joins the Fray arc.
These routes are part of DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO’s Episode Battle mode, which tells the story from eight characters’ perspectives. Choices and secondary battle objectives can lead to scenarios that diverge from the original story, and the story map lets you revisit progress. You need the game on a compatible platform to play; check Bandai Namco’s game page for platform and edition details.

How to unlock each Frieza branch
Immortal Body: win the Namek fight quickly
In A Blast from the Past in the Planet Namek arc, defeat the opponents before Goku gathers enough energy for the Spirit Bomb. Prima’s advice is to reduce Goku’s health first, then defeat Krillin, Gohan, and Piccolo quickly. Goku may reappear, so be ready to defeat him as well. Meeting the objective opens Immortal Body, in which Frieza pursues immortality after defeating his opponents on Namek.

The guides do not publish an exact time cutoff. Check the battle conditions in-game rather than relying on a claimed number of seconds; the required window is not established in the available route coverage.
Fall of the Saiyans: defeat Goku without Full Power
At Legendary Super Saiyan, also in the Planet Namek arc, defeat Goku without transforming Frieza into Full Power. This opens Fall of the Saiyans, where Frieza defeats Goku and continues after the Saiyan race is wiped out.

Rematch with Goku: beat Future Trunks
During Frieza Descends on Earth in the Android/Cell arc, defeat Future Trunks before the match ends. The branch leads to Rematch with Goku, giving Frieza a chance to confront Goku after his return from Yardrat.
Frieza Force Joins the Fray: defeat Goku and Vegeta before reversion
In Frieza Revived, from the God of Destruction Beerus/Frieza’s Resurrection arc, defeat both Goku and Vegeta before Golden Frieza’s transformation is undone. Success unlocks Frieza Force Joins the Fray, a longer alternate arc.

Choices in Frieza Force Joins the Fray
In the Frieza’s Philosophy sequence, choose one of four options:
- Cooler
- Dodoria and Zarbon
- King Cold
- The Ginyu Force
Each choice changes the fights and story exchanges during the Tournament of Power sequence. Prima Games describes different endings for the options; Insider Gaming reports that the broad tournament outcome remains the same while opponents and story details vary. The sources establish variation in opponents and narrative details, not broader mechanical differences.

Replay branches and check objectives
Episode Battle’s story map represents your progress and lets you revisit earlier choices. If a branch does not unlock, return to its mission and review the battle conditions shown in-game: secondary objectives can affect the outcome, and the Frieza guides do not give exact elapsed-time thresholds for the fast-win objectives. Change the relevant approach—such as avoiding Full Power at Legendary Super Saiyan—and complete the stated condition.
Is Super Limit-Breaking NEO needed?
No available official information says that Super Limit-Breaking NEO adds to or is required for Frieza’s original Episode Battle route. Bandai Namco announced that NEO launched July 30, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, with Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 releases to follow later. It adds four Episode Battles, four stages, and 33 playable characters, but is separate current content rather than a stated requirement for this guide’s Frieza branches.
