Game8’s location guide lists 71 fragments and the islands they unlock. This page is a reliable route to that checklist, but the available entry details do not support reproducing or verifying all 71 individual locations here.
How tablet fragments work in Dragon Quest VII Reimagined
Fragments are pieces of broken stone tablets. Find them in towns and dungeons or earn them by defeating powerful enemies, then return to the Shrine of Mysteries and place each piece on the pedestal with its matching color. Completing a tablet opens a location to explore, where resolving its story can affect the protagonists’ world. These mechanics are described by Square Enix’s Reimagined media kit.
- Search towns and dungeons, and watch for powerful enemies that may reward fragments.
- At the Shrine of Mysteries, place each fragment on the pedestal of the same color.
- When a tablet is complete, travel to the location it opens and continue its story.
Where to find the full 71-fragment checklist
Game8’s List of All 71 Tablet Fragment Locations, updated February 11, 2026, provides a location guide and identifies the island unlocked by each entry. Use it as the main checklist when tracking down a missing piece.
Raider King’s All Tablet Fragments Locations guide, dated February 13, 2026, presents its coverage chronologically. That ordering can help if you prefer to follow the adventure’s progression rather than search by destination.

The sources establish the guides’ scope and stated total, but do not provide the individual entries here. For that reason, this article does not guess at fragment names, colors, landmarks, acquisition conditions, or destinations. Check the guide entry against the in-game tablet list, especially for pieces gated by later events.
Make the list useful for a missing fragment
- Search the guide by fragment color or tablet if you already know which pedestal is incomplete.
- Use the source area and destination or island to narrow the search when you know where you are in the story.
- Check any stated event or progression condition before revisiting an area; not every fragment is necessarily available at the same point.
Which game this guide covers
This is specifically for the 2026 release Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, not the original PlayStation or Nintendo 3DS editions. Square Enix lists Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC among its platforms; its media kit lists the Steam release date as February 6, 2026. See the official announcement for release context and Nintendo’s product page for the Switch edition.
