In a 2024 interview, DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO producer Jun Furutani described crossplay as difficult to implement—but did not promise it would be added or rule it out. That answer is not confirmation of the game’s current crossplay status.
What did the producer say about crossplay?
MP1st reproduced Furutani’s answer from an IGN interview, presenting it as translated interview speech: “One of those touchy subjects, that’s very difficult for him to explain. The short professional answer is, yeah, there’s a difficult that we have to go through to get cross play to work…So yeah, that’s where we stand right now. And as for your question about future, obviously we don’t know yet, but yeah.” Read the report.
His response characterized crossplay as a difficult issue for the team. It did not announce a release date for the feature, confirm that work was underway, or say it would never happen.
Can players on different platforms play together now?
The interview does not answer that as a current-status question. The available reporting and discussion cited here do not establish whether crossplay has since been added or definitively ruled out. Do not treat Furutani’s 2024 comments as a present-day feature announcement.

Which platforms were listed for launch?
A September 2024 report gave the game’s scheduled release date as October 11, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. That is historical launch information, not evidence that crossplay works between those platforms or a statement of current availability. See the launch-platform report.

No. Owning a platform version and being able to play across platforms are separate questions. The sources cited here do not establish crossplay support or provide a way to enable it.
