The chart discussion was about pre-orders before the game’s release, not a continuing ranking. A TheGamer report published October 2, 2024 described the game as being at the top of charts on Steam and PlayStation in the pre-order period. A separate PCGamesInsider report dated October 8, 2024 said its pre-orders were Steam’s second-highest-grossing title for the preceding week.

Those claims have specific limits: the Steam figure was a weekly gross-revenue ranking, and the reports concerned pre-orders in 2024. They do not establish a current rank, a PlayStation ranking by the same metric, or a position across every region or chart.
Is Sparking! ZERO at the top of the charts now?
A current chart position cannot be confirmed from those historical reports. Steam and PlayStation rankings can vary by region, time period, and metric—such as revenue, sales, or downloads. Without a dated chart listing that specifies the platform, region, and measure, “currently top” would overstate what the evidence shows.

What the sales milestone does—and does not—show
On February 4, 2025, Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. announced that Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO had sold more than 5 million units worldwide. The publisher also called it the “fastest-selling DRAGON BALL console game to-date.” These are the company’s claims as of that announcement, not a current sales total or an independently verified chart ranking. Bandai Namco’s announcement attributed the milestone to the game’s post-launch performance.
Platforms, release dates, and continued support
Bandai Namco lists the game for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The Steam store listing gives October 10, 2024 as its release date; Bandai Namco’s announcement described the worldwide release as October 11, 2024. The dates are reported in different platform and publisher contexts, rather than indicating one universal storefront date.

Support has continued beyond launch. Bandai Namco Europe’s official game page says Super Limit-Breaking NEO, described as the game’s largest DLC, became available July 30, 2026 for PC and consoles. Check the relevant platform store for availability on a particular storefront.

The publisher describes Sparking! ZERO as an arena-brawler with online and co-op multiplayer, Episode Battle, and Custom Battles. Steam categorizes it as an Action game, lists full controller support, and recommends playing with a controller. These are publisher and store descriptions, not independent assessments of gameplay quality.
