New York Comic Con is scheduled to hold an advance world-premiere screening of episode one on October 8, before the Japanese broadcast. The Dragon Ball Super: Beerus SPECIAL PANEL is listed for 12:00–12:45 p.m. local time at the Javits Center’s Empire Stage. Monica Rial hosts, with Jason Douglas and Ian Sinclair as guests. What time can you stream it?
The Japanese streaming schedule separates the services available just after the television broadcast from the services with a later weekly slot:

These times and platform details come from the official Japanese announcement; they describe Japan availability, not a global streaming schedule. Siliconera reports that Crunchyroll streaming begins October 11, 2026, but its report does not establish which territories are included. Check Siliconera’s report alongside Crunchyroll’s local catalog for regional availability. The English-language announcement does not give an English dub premiere date.
Is Dragon Ball Super: Beerus a remake or a new series?
Toei Animation describes it as an “ENHANCED edition” of Dragon Ball Super, rather than presenting it as a wholly new storyline. Toei says the edition adds and redraws many cuts, reconstructs the narrative and updates the visual presentation, with the aim of more immersive battles and a closer representation of the original manga. The story begins several years after the battle with Majin Buu. Beerus, the God of Destruction, wakes from a long period of peace and hears that a Saiyan defeated Frieza. He then confronts Goku, putting Earth in danger. The enhanced edition revisits that setup with its revised presentation; it is not announced as a continuation with a separate new premise.

Who is making the theme songs?
The announced opening theme is “ONOGAMI” by MEGATERA・ZERO, and the ending theme is “Kan Peki No Peki” by VK Blanka, according to the official announcement. The same announcement quotes MEGATERA・ZERO describing a lifelong connection to Dragon Ball and says the song was written around fighters who rely on their own strength.
