Dragon Raja: ReRise is a turn-based squad RPG with recruitable allies, five-unit formations, daily activities and optional in-app purchases. The most reliable early-game plan is to unlock its systems through story stages, concentrate upgrades on a main damage dealer and a dependable Supporter, and switch from Auto to manual control whenever EX timing decides a difficult fight.
This guide is for Dragon Raja: ReRise, not the older Dragon Raja MMORPG. Names, combat rules and progression advice from that MMO do not automatically apply here.

What to focus on first
Your first objective is not to perfect a final roster. It is to open the features that make progression and resource gathering easier.
- Advance the main story while stages are comfortable. Story clears provide account experience, currencies and first-clear rewards. They also unlock the Recruit feature and NightWatcher Forum, according to the beginner guide from BlueStacks.
- Stop repeating a stage when it becomes a genuine wall. A few failed attempts are useful for diagnosing a problem; endless retries usually are not. Upgrade your core squad, then return to the stage.
- Check newly unlocked activities. NightWatcher Forum bounties can provide Alchemy Gear, gems and upgrade materials. Add available bounties and daily or event tasks to your routine instead of leaving unlocked rewards unclaimed.
- Keep a small upgrade core. Put experience and enhancement materials into one primary damage dealer, one primary Supporter and the minimum durable front line needed for the content. Raising every recruit evenly leaves the whole roster underpowered.
The official Google Play listing, updated August 7, 2026, describes Android and Windows availability, free access and optional purchases. Store claims such as “Get 400 Draws and More Gifts!” are promotional language, not a guaranteed reward for every account or region; check the live offer text before planning around it.

Combat controls: when Auto helps and when it hurts
ReRise includes Pause, double speed, Auto and Skip. Auto plus double speed is efficient for routine farming or a stage you already outclass. It becomes less dependable when an enemy has a dangerous phase, a narrow damage window or a boss attack that must be interrupted or survived.
How EX skills work
The BlueStacks tips guide reports that an ally gains two EX value whenever it lands a basic attack and can activate its EX skill at four EX value. Using the EX skill consumes the stored value. Treat those numbers as guide-reported behavior and read the current in-game skill description after updates, since balance patches can change mechanics or wording.
Manual procedure for a difficult stage
- Enter the fight on normal speed and watch the first turn cycle rather than immediately pressing Auto.
- Note which enemy acts first, which ally is being focused and when a boss begins a threatening animation or phase.
- Allow EX value to build if an immediate skill would be wasted. Save a defensive, healing or control EX for the turn that actually needs it.
- Use damage EX skills together when they can finish a priority target, break a threat or exploit a vulnerability. Do not fire every skill the instant the game permits it.
- Pause after a failed attempt and change one variable—target order, formation, speed or EX timing—so you can identify what solved the problem.
Auto spends EX as soon as it is available. That is convenient for easy clears but can leave a Supporter without a heal, or a damage dealer out of resources, when the boss reaches its dangerous turn. Manual play is therefore a tool for difficult content, not a requirement for every battle.

| Role | What it contributes | Beginner use |
|---|---|---|
| Attacker | Direct damage and target elimination | Choose one reliable primary damage dealer before adding specialized damage. |
| Defender | Durability, threat absorption and front-line stability | Use a resilient unit where enemies concentrate attacks. |
| Supporter | Healing, shields, buffs or debuffs | Protect the core and extend the number of turns your damage dealer can act. |
A functional beginner formation normally covers damage, survival and support. Two damage dealers can be effective early when enemies are fragile, but a second Attacker should not replace all protection if your team is dying before it can act. Conversely, a defensive team that cannot defeat a timer or healing check needs more damage.
Front and back positioning
Front positions generally attract more enemy attention. Put a durable Defender or an appropriate melee unit forward, and keep fragile ranged attackers and Supporters behind it. Reposition when a stage targets a specific row, ignores the front line or repeatedly defeats your back row; “front” is a starting principle, not a permanent rule.
Formation bonds and stage-specific lineups
Formation bonds can add bonuses, but do not sacrifice role coverage or survival merely to activate one. The best lineup depends on your available allies, star levels and the encounter.

A progression loop that avoids wasted stamina and materials
1. Story first
Push story stages whenever the clear is reliable. Besides rewards, story progress unlocks Recruit and NightWatcher Forum, so delaying the campaign can delay the tools you need to improve.
2. NightWatcher Forum bounties
After the forum opens, review its story-linked bounties. The beginner guide says they can pay Alchemy Gear, gems and upgrade materials. Claim completed rewards and check the board when daily or event objectives refresh.
3. Nibelungen when the story stalls
Hideout’s October 2026 route recommends Nibelungen stages for gear materials when story progress is blocked. Farm only enough to clear the next meaningful threshold; hoarding materials for an imagined perfect build slows current account growth.

4. Ruin Exploration later in the routine
The same guide places Ruin Exploration later because its requirements scale with character star levels and overall roster strength. Enter it when your account meets the requirements instead of diverting scarce resources too early. Its priority can change with balance updates and event schedules.

It introduces powerful new features such as gyro settings, stick curve adjustments, and button-to-mouse mapping, giving you deeper customization and more control than ever before.
5. Daily and team activities
Complete practical daily tasks after the main progression push. Hideout specifically mentions Club Tree watering and coordinating Joint Action with clubmates. These activities are most valuable when they fit your normal login routine; do not let them replace story progress while your account is still unlocking core systems.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Spend upgrade materials and duplicates deliberately
Concentrate experience and enhancement items
Keep your primary damage dealer and primary Supporter ahead of the rest of the roster, then bring the front line high enough to survive the current stage. A narrow, functional core clears more content than five units receiving equal but insufficient investment.
Use duplicate allies for stars when appropriate
The beginner guide says duplicate allies can Star Up a unit and unlock bonuses. A duplicate of a core ally may therefore provide more immediate value than spreading materials across a new, untested recruit. Consider a separate copy only when it fills a role your current team genuinely lacks or when a mode requires a different formation.
Plan gem and ticket spending
BlueStacks recommends saving gems for tenfold recruitments on banners featuring strong SSR allies, while using free tickets and mission rewards for ordinary pulls. This is a general rule, not proof that every SSR banner is worthwhile. Before spending, inspect the banner’s featured units, rates, guarantee or pity terms, duration and your existing roster.
Hideout’s October 2026 account guidance adds that players should save limited and MR tickets toward a desired damage dealer, buy essentials in shops before Chalice Cores, and concentrate gifts on a highly usable or limited unit. These priorities are specific to that guide’s October 2026 environment; shop inventories, costs and banner value can change.
Do not confuse a reward advertisement with a budget
The store listing’s 500K+ downloads figure is store metadata, not an independent count of active players. Likewise, a listed draw bundle may be restricted by region, account status or a limited-time campaign. Treat both as context, not as resources you can assume will be available.

How to diagnose a stage wall
When a stage repeatedly defeats you, identify the failure before upgrading randomly.
- Your team dies before taking a second turn: move a durable unit forward, improve defensive or Supporter investment, and use manual EX timing for shields or healing.
- You survive but cannot finish enemies: concentrate upgrades on the primary Attacker, improve target order and consider a second damage dealer if the stage has no demanding survival check.
- A boss kills one ally with a known attack: watch its turn pattern, save the relevant defensive EX and test a different front/back arrangement.
- Auto wins ordinary fights but fails this one: switch to manual rather than spending consumables on repeated automatic attempts.
- You lack the required stars or roster strength: farm the appropriate progression mode, improve the core and return later; forcing Ruin Exploration early is inefficient when its requirements scale beyond your account.
- Your team has a bond but still collapses: remove the bond if necessary. Role coverage and survival matter more than a small formation bonus.
Change one or two variables at a time. If you replace the entire team, formation and skill order together, you will not know which decision solved the encounter.
A practical first-week checklist
- Clear story stages until a real difficulty wall appears.
- Unlock Recruit and NightWatcher Forum as soon as the campaign allows.
- Choose one primary Attacker, one primary Supporter and a durable front-line unit.
- Place resilient units forward and fragile ranged units or Supporters behind them.
- Use Auto and double speed for routine clears; use manual EX timing for bosses and failed stages.
- Collect NightWatcher bounties, daily tasks and first-clear rewards.
- Farm Nibelungen materials only when story progression is blocked.
- Delay Ruin Exploration until your star levels and roster satisfy its scaling requirements.
- Save gems and valuable tickets for a banner that actually improves your account, checking its current terms first.
- Use duplicates to Star Up core allies when that gives more value than leveling an unnecessary replacement.
- Water the Club Tree and coordinate Joint Action when those activities are available to your club.
What can change after an update
Banner contents, shop costs, reward campaigns, EX behavior and the strongest team compositions are live-service details. The official listing was updated August 7, 2026, and Hideout labels its strategy guide as updated October 2026; recommendations tied to those dates should be rechecked in your current client. In particular, verify skill descriptions, ticket rules and shop priorities before committing premium currency.
The durable principles are simpler: unlock systems through the story, maintain a focused core, cover damage, durability and support, protect the back row, and take manual control when timing matters. Apply those principles to the allies and stage in front of you rather than chasing a fixed lineup.
