Dragon’s Dogma 2 uses different default controls on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The tables below list the published defaults; you can remap controls in the game’s options. On PS5, the specific route is Pause Menu > Options > Controls > Button Mapping.

How to remap controls
PS5
- Open the Pause Menu.
- Select Options.
- Open Controls, then Button Mapping.
- Change the button assignments for the actions you want to rebind.
Capcom documents this path in the PS5 official web manual. Prima Games says the defaults can also be changed through Options on other platforms, but does not give an equally detailed path for them; use the in-game Controls or Button Mapping screen for your version.
Weapon skills, items, and lantern shortcuts
Capcom’s manual describes shortcuts for weapon skills, health and stamina recovery items, opening the Items menu, and toggling the lantern. The indexed manual text does not show the exact button combinations, so use the manual or the in-game controls screen for the shortcut chords rather than relying on an assumed combination. The manual is the PS5 edition; button labels may differ on other platforms.

How to cling to a large enemy or pick up a smaller one
To cling to a larger foe, make contact with it in mid-air while holding the relevant action. Capcom notes that dashing before jumping and clinging may knock the enemy off balance. Similar controls let you pick up smaller enemies. The precise button to hold depends on your platform and any remapping; see the platform table or your current in-game bindings.
