Why does Shi dislike Kikky?
Fox attributes Shi’s dislike of Kikky to Shi’s dislike of vermin. The bacterium explanation is explicitly uncertain: Fox says Shi “maybe” thinks Kikky is a bacterium, rather than stating that as a settled fact.
What are the cats from the Mike minigames?
For in-game setting purposes, Fox says Kikky “could be thought of as just the cats from the Mike minigames,” which the Mikes must care for when they are not in use. His wording is qualified, so it is best read as a way to understand Kikky in the setting, not as a detailed explanation of the cats or a broader lore confirmation.
