Siliconera also reports that giving gifts to citizens and building affinity can result in receiving Fruit Wine. It does not identify a guaranteed recipient or quantity, so treat this as a possible extra source rather than a dependable route. The guide said ordinary merchants did not sell Fruit Wine and it could not be crafted when it was published; that dated claim does not establish what every current game version allows.

Craft it from Fruit Wine
In your inventory, use the combination menu to combine one Fruit Wine and one Saurian Tail for one Newt Liqueur, as described by Siliconera. The guide reports Saurians north of Melve as a possible source of Saurian Tails. Because each bottle uses a Fruit Wine, consider whether you would rather save your wine or pay the reported tavern price.
Check reported world locations
Gamer Guides also reports Newt Liqueur at Windwalker’s Home on Volcanic Island. Its item database marks two bottles in Laboratorium Chemical Stores near pots and another on a table in a home. The guide pages do not fully establish the quest-state or access conditions for these pickups; availability may depend on your save, so do not rely on them as a guaranteed supply.

How many bottles does Warfarer require?
Gamer Guides says you need three Newt Liqueurs for The Sotted Sage, which unlocks the Warfarer vocation. Siliconera identifies Lamond at Volcanic Island Camp as the person to whom you turn in the liqueur. Since crafting yields one bottle per Fruit Wine, the recipe alone requires three Fruit Wines to make all three bottles.
