The documented commands handle local and global chat, parties, guilds, duels, PvP flagging, chat filters and player reports. They do not legitimately grant levels, items, invulnerability or automated combat. Dreadmyst’s Terms of Service prohibit bots, macros, auto-clickers, modified clients and any method that automates play or creates an unfair advantage.
Are there cheat codes in Dreadmyst?
The word “cheats” is misleading for the evidence currently available. Dreadmyst is described on its official website as “A new online RPG written from scratch using OpenGL and C/C++.” The available command references document slash commands entered through the chat box. They cover communication and player interaction; they do not establish a developer console or a legitimate command for spawning equipment, changing a level, becoming invulnerable or automating combat.

That distinction matters. A command such as /duel, /guild or /pvp changes how you interact with other players, but it does not bypass the game’s progression systems. Treat lists copied from forums as community references rather than promises that every command still works. The authoritative check for your current client is the in-game /help output.
How to enter a command
- Press Enter to open the Dreadmyst chat box.
- Type a slash command, including the leading
/. Replace a bracketed value such as[name]with the player’s actual name; do not type the brackets. - Press Enter again to send or execute it.
- Run
/helpfirst if a command is rejected, produces no visible result or appears to have different syntax. The community command guide says this displays the available chat commands for the current game.
Commands are documented as chat-box entries. One independent guide calls them “console commands,” but its instructions also say to enter them in chat; there is no reliable evidence here of a separate developer-console interface.

The guide associates global chat with finding groups and discussing trades. That is a community-described use, not a rule that overrides local chat etiquette or any server moderation policy.
Party coordination

Use /party to keep group coordination out of global chat, then use /invite [name] for the actual invitation. A party roll gives the group a transparent random result when deciding who receives something or who takes the next turn. The references do not specify the roll’s range, tie handling or loot rules, so confirm the result and scope in your current client rather than assuming a particular number range.

Guild commands are administrative actions, not character-enhancement cheats. Check the target name carefully before using an invite or removal command, and verify the current client’s permission rules if an action fails.
Duels and PvP

Dreadmyst’s official overview describes arena PvP in 1v1 and 2v2 formats, while the community command list describes /pvp as a zone-related flag. Those are different contexts: an arena match and an open-world or zone flag should not be assumed to share the same rules. Read the confirmation text in-game before accepting a duel or enabling a PvP flag.
Reporting and the uncertain entry

Because the guide itself qualifies /gay as uncertain, do not treat it as a dependable shortcut. Use /help for the current list. Use /report [name] for suspected rule violations, and include the relevant player name and a clear description if the client provides a report form or confirmation.

Essential tips for using the commands
Verify syntax before troubleshooting anything else
Third-party lists can become stale when a game changes its chat parser or removes a feature. Start with /help, copy the spelling shown by your client and test a low-risk command such as a chat-channel switch. If a command with a name argument fails, check that the player name is exact and that you omitted the square brackets used only to indicate a placeholder in documentation.

Use /party for dungeon plans, target assignments and loot decisions; use /guild for guild business; reserve /all for messages that genuinely need a wider audience. A private /whisper [name] is safer for a direct invitation or question than posting another player’s details in a public channel. If a channel becomes distracting, /mall and /mtrade provide separate mute controls, with /umall and /umtrade restoring those feeds.
Make random decisions visible
When a party needs a neutral decision, agree on what the roll decides before anyone runs /roll. State the item, order or responsibility being assigned, then record the displayed result in party chat. Since the references do not document the command’s exact range or tie behavior, resolve ties openly rather than inventing an unwritten rule after seeing the numbers.

Use duel and PvP commands deliberately
Target the intended player before using /duel. Read any acceptance or confirmation prompt, and use /yield when you need to forfeit or decline. Treat /pvp as a status change that can affect where you may be attacked, not as a damage or defense boost. The guide limits its description to relevant zones, so do not assume the flag applies everywhere or that it automatically enters an arena match.
Administer guilds conservatively
Guild creation and membership commands can have lasting consequences. Choose the name carefully with /gcreate [name], confirm the recipient before /ginvite [name], and verify the member before /gkick [name]. If you are leaving rather than dissolving the organization, use /gquit; /gdisband is a separate action. If the client asks for confirmation, read it instead of sending the same command repeatedly.

That prohibition covers the common “cheat” downloads and scripts advertised alongside command lists. Do not install a modified client, bind an auto-clicker to combat, run a macro that performs actions while you are away, or use software that changes game behavior. Ordinary slash commands supplied by the game are not automation: they send a social or administrative instruction through the normal client. External automation is a different category and carries account risk.
The official site describes Dreadmyst as free to play and states that it has no microtransactions, premium currencies, paid advantages or subscriptions. That business model does not create an exception to the anti-automation rule; free access still requires compliance with the Terms of Service.
Controls, classes and progression context
If a command feels awkward to use, check the controls in the current client rather than relying on a key chart copied from another version. The official repository configuration contains bindings for movement, inventory, equipment, quest log, spellbook, map, guild roster and action bars. The surfaced configuration values are numeric and do not provide a universal, human-readable default-key map, so the safest approach is to inspect or customize the in-game settings on your installation.
New characters can choose Paladin, Mage, Ranger or Cleric. The official overview says builds are shaped by allocating points among Strength, Agility, Willpower, Intelligence and Courage. It also describes group dungeons, solo dungeons and 1v1 or 2v2 arena PvP. Those systems explain why party, guild and duel commands are useful, but none of them is replaced by a slash command that supplies levels or equipment.
A third-party field manual describes progression from level 1 to 25 across Fanadin and says its data comes from imported game tables and formulas. Use that database as a secondary reference for planning, not as official policy or proof that a command exists. Class balance, level caps and command behavior can change independently.

- Nothing happens after pressing Enter: confirm the message begins with
