The Dreaming City’s curse is a repeating cycle of Taken corruption tied to Riven’s Last Wish. Blind Well is a Dreaming City activity associated with some Dreaming City weapon drops; Shattered Throne is a dungeon, and Last Wish is a raid. Bungie lists both the dungeon and raid as Forsaken Pack content, with access through the Dreaming City map. The exact curse stage and Blind Well rewards can change, so check the game for the current week’s details.
What is the Dreaming City curse cycle?
The curse is a story event that leaves the Dreaming City caught in a recurring cycle of Taken corruption. Bungie’s May 23, 2024 lore summary explains that the fireteam’s attempt to save the city inadvertently carried out Riven’s Last Wish, drawing the Dreaming City into that cycle. Bungie’s account of the Dreaming City’s curse describes it as a cycle that remains in place.
The curse once followed an escalating activity cadence. On September 27, 2018, Bungie said the curse had reached its most potent state and that Shattered Throne would return when the cycle was at its worst again in three weeks. That is historical context from the Forsaken era, not a current weekly timetable. The sources cited here do not establish this week’s curse stage; check the in-game Dreaming City information for the current state.
What is Blind Well, and what can you get from it?
Blind Well is an activity in the Dreaming City. Bungie’s Season of the Wish announcement in 2023 named it as one of several sources for a set of returning Dreaming City weapons, alongside Shattered Throne and Ascendant Challenge chests. The named weapons were Tigerspite, Waking Vigil, Sleepless, Vouchsafe, Retold Tale, Twilight Oath, and Abide the Return. Bungie also said the weapons had updated perk pools and an Advanced Reflexes Origin Trait for that season.

That announcement does not establish a complete or current Blind Well reward pool, nor does it say that every listed weapon drops from each listed source. For the current week’s rewards, consult the activity in-game rather than treating the 2023 list as a live rotation.
How do you access Shattered Throne?
