For Dreaming City loot in Destiny 2, choose a route by what you want: The Shattered Throne is the destination’s available endgame dungeon, Blind Well is a destination activity with tiered rewards, and Petra Venj is where Bungie directs players to use Dark Fragments. Bungie’s current support pages do not provide a complete named list of Dreaming City weapons, armor, or encounter drops, so check the activity’s reward display in game before farming.
How to choose a Dreaming City loot route
Start with your goal: dungeon-specific gear, rewards from a destination activity, or a use for Dark Fragments. Those are different systems, and an old item list should not be treated as a current drop table.
| Goal | Route | What is established |
|---|---|---|
| Dungeon gear | The Shattered Throne | Bungie lists it as an available dungeon and says dungeons reward gear unique to each dungeon. The cited Activities page does not assign individual items to encounters. |
| Destination activity rewards | Blind Well and other Dreaming City activities | Bungie says unique destination activities use tiered rewards. Its Director guide does not name the current Dreaming City item pool. |
| Currency use | Petra Venj | Bungie’s inventory guide directs players to Petra to use Dark Fragments and calls them the only destination currency that remains. |
Reward pools and activity availability can change. Inspect the activity’s current reward preview in the game’s Director rather than assuming a guide’s older list still applies. Bungie describes the current structure as divided between the Portal and World destination areas: the Portal covers the latest content and Edge of Fate/Renegades, while World covers content through The Final Shape. See Bungie’s Activities guide for the current activity organization.
Where to get Dreaming City gear
The Shattered Throne
The Shattered Throne is listed among Destiny 2’s available dungeons. Bungie describes dungeons as endgame PvE activities for up to three players, with gear unique to each dungeon. This supports using it as the dungeon route for Dreaming City-specific gear, but does not establish which weapon or armor piece drops from a particular encounter, whether repeat clears can earn more drops, or any drop chance. Check the live activity reward display before planning a targeted farm. See Bungie’s dungeon and activity information.

Blind Well and other destination activities
Bungie’s Director guide says unique destination activities such as Blind Well distribute tiered rewards. It also explains that public event completion and heroic completion have different reward tiers, with possible upgrades. The guide does not specify the current named Dreaming City weapons or armor available from Blind Well or other destination activities, so use the in-game reward preview to identify what a particular activity offers now. See Bungie’s Director guide.
Dreaming City materials and Petra Venj
For current destination-currency guidance, Bungie identifies Dark Fragments as the only destination currency that remains and directs players to Petra Venj in the Dreaming City to use them. Petra is also identified as a Dreaming City character in Bungie’s new and returning player guide. Check her current in-game stock and the activity preview for what is available to you; the cited support pages do not establish a particular current bounty reward.

Do not farm Baryon Boughs or other legacy destination materials on the assumption that they still advance progression. Bungie’s Year 8 notice says destination materials lost value starting July 15, 2025, and that materials held in inventory would no longer have value. Read the dated Year 8 notice for that transition.

- Open Destiny 2’s Director and navigate to the World destination area for Dreaming City activities. The Portal covers the latest content and Edge of Fate/Renegades, while World covers content through The Final Shape, according to Bungie’s Activities guide.
- Select the activity you are considering, such as The Shattered Throne or Blind Well.
- Read the reward display shown for that activity and confirm it matches your goal before investing time in the run.
- For Dark Fragments, visit Petra Venj and inspect her current options in game.
This check matters because the official support information establishes activity categories and reward systems, not a complete 2026 Dreaming City drop table.
