Arabic-language installations had a missing title for the Hidden Devices list. Version 5.7.2 corrected that interface problem, so the list could display its expected heading in that environment. This is a user-interface and accessibility correction, not a change to how hidden hardware is detected.

What the release did not add
Nothing in the 5.7.2 announcement indicates a large feature launch, a new subscription tier, or a performance benchmark. The documented scope is corrective: startup reliability, minor bugs, one Arabic label, and language files. Treating 5.7.2 as a major new edition would give it more significance than the release notes support.

The same caution applies when comparing it with later generations. Features introduced in 6.x or 7.x should not be attributed to 5.7.2. The official history lists later releases, but the 5.7.2 announcement does not backdate their capabilities to this build.

Should you still install or keep 5.7.2?
When an old build may be relevant
- You are documenting a 2022 software environment and need the exact build identified in an old support record.
- You are investigating whether a launch problem was corrected in the release that first documented the fix.
- You need to reproduce the Arabic or Czech interface behavior from that period.
Those are compatibility or archival reasons, not evidence that 5.7.2 is preferable for a current Windows installation. If you do retain an old installer, keep its build number and release date with your records so it cannot be confused with a current download.

When upgrading is the sensible choice
For ordinary maintenance, use the current version page and the official version history rather than treating 5.7.2 as a destination. Later 5.7.x and 5.8.x entries, followed by 6.x and 7.x releases, show that the product has continued to move forward. A current release is the appropriate starting point when you want present-day licensing information, current support, or fixes delivered after 2022.

- Compare the string with 5.7.2.21892. A match identifies the May 30, 2022 release; a different suffix or major number indicates another build.
- Check the official version history. Locate your build in the chronology and read the entry for the release you actually have. Do not assume that a later fix was present in 5.7.2.
- Record your language and symptoms. Note whether the problem concerns launching, the Hidden Devices heading, or translation text. That distinction helps separate the issues explicitly addressed in 5.7.2 from unrelated problems.

Check the version after installation
- Finish the installation, then open the application’s version-information screen.
- Confirm that the displayed build matches the release you intended to install.
- If the application still shows 5.7.2, you installed the historical build rather than the current one.
Understand the current licensing distinction
The current product page states that Driver Easy Free applies only to versions 5.8.x and earlier. It also advertises a 7-day Pro trial followed by a paid upgrade path. Those terms belong to the current product page, not to the 2022 5.7.2 announcement. Read the terms displayed at the time you download or upgrade, because licensing can differ between an old build and the current offering.
If the upgrade or launch still fails
Separate a version problem from a Windows problem
First confirm the installed build. If you are already on a later release, the 5.7.2 launch fix does not establish that your present failure has the same cause. Record the exact symptom, the build number, and the interface language before changing installations.

For a 5.7.2-specific investigation, consult the 5.7.2.21892 entry and its May 30, 2022 announcement. For a current installation, consult the entry for the build you are actually running. Keep historical and current installers distinct
