Dune: Awakening is no longer up for preorder: it is available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The PS5 and Xbox versions launched on September 22, 2026. The Terrarium of Muad’Dib and Sunset Dye were preorder rewards, while Deluxe and Ultimate buyers received five days of early access—launch offers, not benefits to assume are still available. Check your regional store or retailer for current prices, stock and edition contents.
Release date and platforms
Dune: Awakening launched on PC in June 2025 and arrived on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on September 22, 2026. The console launch also brought the new single-player mode and other updates to all platforms, according to Bandai Namco Europe. Funcom’s PlayStation Blog announcement described PS5 and PS5 Pro optimization.
Xbox Wire says the Xbox release includes content and improvements added to the PC version over the preceding year. It also describes Xbox Play Anywhere support across Xbox console, Windows Store, ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Cloud Gaming; check the Xbox announcement for platform details.
Cross-play status
In its September 22 launch announcement, Bandai Namco Europe said cross-play between platforms was planned for a post-launch update but did not give a date. The announcement does not establish whether that update has since arrived, so check current platform or publisher information if cross-play is essential to your purchase.

What each edition includes
Funcom’s Help Center describes three launch editions. Bundles can vary by platform and territory, and those launch descriptions do not guarantee that every edition is still sold. Check the current store listing before buying.
| Edition | Included at launch | Early access |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | Base game; launch preorder offer included the Terrarium of Muad’Dib and Sunset Dye Global Swatch where applicable. | No five-day head start. |
| Deluxe | Base game, Season Pass covering the first four DLCs, Sardaukar Bator Armor, and launch preorder benefits. | Five days before the official launch. |
| Ultimate | Deluxe contents, plus Dusk Rider Sandbike Swatch, Blue Dasher Ornithopter Swatch, Caladan Palace Building Set, Dune (2021) Film Stillsuit, a 50-page digital artbook and a 90-minute digital soundtrack. | Five days before the official launch. |
These contents are summarized from Funcom’s edition and preorder benefits guide; Xbox Wire also confirms Ultimate inclusions and that the Deluxe Season Pass covered the first four DLCs. The current store description is the best guide to the bundle offered in your region.
Rank #2
- Expansion for Dune: Imperium
- Make shadowy deals with the Tleilaxu to harvest genetic specimens
- Graft cards together to empower your Agents
- Explore a universe of possibilities with Dune: Imperium – Immortality
Preorder bonuses: what they were and whether they’re still available
- Terrarium of Muad’Dib: an in-base decoration.
- Sunset Dye Global Swatch: a color pattern for weapons, vehicles and armor or outfits.
- Five-day head start: included with launch Deluxe and Ultimate editions, not Standard. The console head start began September 17, 2026, ahead of the September 22 release.
The Terrarium and Sunset Dye were described as preorder-only, and the head start was tied to the launch window. These are historical terms, not an active preorder offer. A retailer may have its own remaining code or bundle, but confirm eligibility and exactly what is included before paying; do not assume a listing that repeats launch wording will grant the rewards.
Prices and physical PS5 availability
Prices vary by region, platform, edition and retailer, and can change. The official US PlayStation Store listing showed the PS5 Standard Edition at $49.99 when checked. Xbox Wire gave $49.99 as the US Xbox preorder price at announcement; neither figure establishes today’s price for other editions or regions. Check the live US PlayStation Store listing or your local storefront for current pricing.

- Take part in one of the most famous science fiction stories of all time.
- Ship your forces to Dune, harvest spice, seize control of strongholds, and destroy your enemies.
- Who will control DUNE? You decide!
- In DUNE you will take control of one of the four great factions–House Atreides, House Harkonnen, the Fremen, and the Imperium, all vying to control the most valuable resource in the universe
- For 2-4 Players. 30-60 minute playing time. Ages 12+
A physical PS5 edition is available, but distribution and stock are regional. Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe handles EMEA, Australia and New Zealand; Solutions 2 GO handles North and South America; Spike Chunsoft handles Japan, where the stated release date is October 29, 2026. Retail prices, availability and any included preorder codes can differ. See Bandai Namco Europe’s launch information and verify details with the retailer selling the disc.
Two launch-era price references should not be mistaken for ongoing offers: Bandai Namco Europe said the Steam discount of 50% ran through October 8, 2026, and separately listed the optional Filmic Archive DLC at $9.99. The Steam promotion has a stated end date; the DLC is add-on content, not a preorder reward or part of the Deluxe Season Pass. See the launch announcement for those details.
Rank #4
- A complete 116-page adventure with step by step guidance as you play.
- 5 Character folios for the members of House Nagara.
- Two 50-card decks detailing NPCs assets, and traits for use during play.
- A free digital copy of the Dune: Adventures in the Imperium Core Rulebook to expand your campaign even further after play.
Which edition should you choose?
- Choose Standard if you want the base game and do not need the bundled season pass or Ultimate cosmetics and digital extras.
- Consider Deluxe if the first four DLCs in its Season Pass and Sardaukar Bator Armor are worth the price difference to you. The five-day head start was a launch benefit and is no longer a reason to buy it.
- Consider Ultimate if you specifically want its additional cosmetic items, building set, Film Stillsuit, artbook and soundtrack, and the current price makes those extras worthwhile.
- For a disc, compare the physical PS5 listing with digital editions in your region, and verify the actual contents and any code expiration or bonus eligibility with the retailer.
There is no reliable universal price comparison across editions and territories in the cited listings. Use the live platform storefront and retailer pages to compare the total cost and bundle contents before checkout.
