To finish Digging Deeper in Dune: Awakening, recover Keif Villari’s package at Imperial Testing Station No. 117, then search Station No. 29 for a hidden lab. Inside, use a Cutteray to reach the access port, insert the sphere, defend the terminal, and take the sphere. Complete the handoff in Harko Village, then return to Hagga Basin. If the sphere will not pick up while grouped, Funcom’s workaround is to complete the station outside a group.
Track the contract and prepare
Open the Journey Menu with J and track Digging Deeper so its current objective appears on your compass. Funcom says you can track only one journey and one contract at a time; tracking and objective directions are managed from the Journey Menu. See Funcom’s Journeys and Contracts help page.
Keif Villari issues the contract. Its objective sequence starts at Imperial Testing Station No. 117 and continues to No. 29. Follow the live marker rather than an old map: station layouts, markers, and objectives can change with updates. Bring a Cutteray for the conduits and blast doors in Station 29. An Ornithopter and a fully automatic weapon are useful suggestions in one walkthrough, not stated requirements.
Recover Villari’s package at Testing Station No. 117
Clear the station and follow the tracked objective to find the package. Interact with it to choose Take the package. A route described by Method’s walkthrough turns right toward a security room, picks up an ID band near water tanks, and continues to the last security room for the needed item. If that room order does not match your build, use the contract marker and objective text.

Find the hidden lab in Testing Station No. 29
Travel to Imperial Testing Station No. 29. Method’s route descends through a rocky crevice and warns about mines, then passes a projection and a security door on the way to the final area. Follow your tracked objective if the approach differs.

In the final area, collect the purple ID band and look to the right for an orange-lit bookshelf. Interact with the bookshelf to open the concealed route, descend into the cave, and enter the door at its end to reach the instanced lab. MetaForge’s Lost Harvest guide also identifies the bookshelf as a secret door.
Reach the access port and insert the sphere
Follow the lab passages toward the access port. Use the Cutteray on power conduits and blast doors along the route. The specific turns and room sequence can vary with the layout, so rely on the tracked objective rather than treating a fixed route as universal.

At the access port, insert the sphere. The contract’s next objectives are to defend the terminal and then take the sphere.
Defend the terminal and take the sphere
Hold off the attack until the defense objective completes, then interact with the sphere and exit the facility. Method recommends a fully automatic weapon, mobility, or turret support for the encounter; these are tactical suggestions, not mandatory loadout requirements.

Troubleshoot a stuck objective or sphere
The sphere will not pick up while grouped
Funcom’s Known Issues page says sphere pickup at the Imperial Testing Station may fail in a group. Leave the group and complete the station solo.
The contract does not complete
Funcom advises traveling to Anvil tradepost and checking the contracts board if Digging Deeper fails to complete. For a generally stuck step, revisit the NPC or location from the previous objective; Funcom also says a stuck contract can be abandoned and reacquired where possible. Check the Journey Menu to confirm the active objective before repeating a section.
