Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?

For a move or backup, the Base Reconstruction Tool can store an owned base, but it has important location, cooldown, and exclusion rules.
Choose a location that reduces risk
Avoid placing your base in open desert or worm territory. Both introduce avoidable hazards. Consider how easily you can return to maintain fuel, whether the site is exposed to PvP, and whether the intended placement complies with claims and no-building zones.
On the PvP side of the Deep Desert, a base may be vulnerable to raids when its shield is down. Enclose the sub-fief console and avoid leaving it exposed. These location and protection cautions come from Funcom’s Lost Base and How to Keep it Safe guidance.
Keep the generator fueled and the shield active
The generator needs fuel to run the shield that protects structures from environmental damage. If fuel runs out, the generator stops and the shield turns off; Funcom warns that powered-down bases can be damaged by sandstorms in Hagga Basin and the Deep Desert. Its guidance is direct: “Always keep your base powered with enough fuel.”

These mechanics and warnings are described in Funcom’s base-safety guidance.
Keep structural pieces connected to the core
Disconnected structural components can decay, particularly pieces distant from or unlinked to the core console. Plan the claim and core relationship as part of the layout, and make sure added sections remain connected to the main base.

Funcom’s guidance identifies disconnection as a risk but does not establish a universal support distance or column count. Avoid relying on a fixed number unless current in-game guidance or patch notes confirm it for your situation.
Restrict base permissions
Give access only to people you trust. Owner or co-owner actions and abandonment are among the ways a base may be dismantled or removed, so permissions should be deliberate rather than broadly shared. See Funcom’s Lost Base and How to Keep it Safe page.

Store or move a base with the Base Reconstruction Tool
The Base Reconstruction Tool stores an owned base along with its placeables and resources. A stored base does not need power while it remains in the tool, making reconstruction a useful option when you need to move or keep the base stored. The tool is available after unlocking Iron Tier Construction research and can be crafted at a Fabricator or Survival Fabricator.
- Unlock Iron Tier Construction research.
- Craft the Base Reconstruction Tool at a Fabricator or Survival Fabricator.
- Store an owned base, then place it only in Hagga Basin where no other claim or no-building zone blocks placement.
- Before placement, ensure a foundation is beneath the sub-fief console and that buildables fit within sub-fief limits.
You can store up to three bases. After storing and placing a particular base, you must wait seven days before using the tool on that same base again. These limits and placement rules are listed in Funcom’s Base Reconstruction Tool guidance.

- A complete 116-page adventure with step by step guidance as you play.
- 5 Character folios for the members of House Nagara.
- Two 50-card decks detailing NPCs assets, and traits for use during play.
- A free digital copy of the Dune: Adventures in the Imperium Core Rulebook to expand your campaign even further after play.
Know what the tool does not preserve
The tool does not store assembled vehicles, Carrier Ornithopter Cargo Containers, or extra permissions. Placement is also subject to collision and player-presence restrictions, so a valid destination needs both building clearance and the required absence of players.
If you choose to recycle a stored base instead of placing it, its contents become available through the Reserve tab at an owned sub-fief console or storage container. See Funcom’s reconstruction guidance for these exclusions and recovery details.

Quick planning checklist
- Choose a site away from open desert and worm territory; assess PvP exposure where relevant.
- Make the sub-fief console hard to expose, and ensure you can return to refuel.
- Check power status and the remaining-days notification before fuel runs out.
- Keep structural components connected to the main base without assuming an unverified universal support distance.
- Limit permissions to trusted players.
- For reconstruction, account for Hagga Basin-only placement, claims, clearance, the seven-day same-base wait, and excluded items.
