Dune: Awakening — How to Complete the Zantara’s Head Contract

Zantara’s Head may appear at Griffin’s Reach Tradepost, but guides say its advertised 1,000,000 Solaris bounty cannot be collected.

Short answer: The Zantara’s Head contract advertises a reward of 1,000,000 Solaris, but available guides say it does not pay out—even after the later story encounter with Zantara. If the contract is on your board, Griffin’s Reach Tradepost is the best-supported place to find it. Avoid a long hunt solely for the promised bounty.

Where to pick up Zantara’s Head

Check the Contract Board at Griffin’s Reach Tradepost. GamesRadar reports that the contract can appear during onboarding when you reach the outpost, and the Dune: Awakening Community Wiki also lists Griffin’s Reach. The location is not entirely consistent across guides: Beebom names Harko Village instead, so Griffin’s Reach is the better-supported location, not a guarantee.

The contract can disappear from the board if you leave it too long. GamesRadar describes it as missable, and the Community Wiki likewise says it eventually vanishes. If it is no longer available, those sources do not identify a way to recover it.

What the contract asks you to do

The Community Wiki lists Count Hasimir Fenring as the issuer, an advertised reward of 1,000,000 Solaris, and two objectives: kill Zantara, then deliver proof to Fenring’s associate in Harko Village. The wiki’s dialogue for the associate, Elara Tuek, says, “All I need is what the contract requires, Zantara’s head.”

Why completing the bounty does not pay

The advertised million Solaris is not a reliable reward. GamesRadar says Zantara returns later in the story and that killing him and taking his ring as proof still does not pay the bounty. The Community Wiki also says the contract never pays out, while Beebom’s June 17, 2025 guide reports that there is no NPC turn-in for the late-game ring.

Sources differ on the proof item: the wiki dialogue asks for Zantara’s head, while GamesRadar describes a ring. Neither should be treated as a confirmed way to claim the money. The available guides agree on the practical outcome: the promised payout is unavailable.

If the contract is missing or stuck

For general contract trouble, Funcom’s Journeys and Contracts support page recommends tracking the contract from the Journey Menu to receive compass hints. If dialogue or progress stalls, return to the previous NPC or the location for the relevant step; contact Funcom support if the issue persists.

Funcom says contracts can generally be abandoned and picked up again, but that general guidance does not establish a recovery method for this particular contract. GamesRadar and the Community Wiki describe Zantara’s Head as missable, so abandoning it should not be assumed to restore it or unlock its payout.
