Which graphics mode should you use on PS5?
Funcom’s announced specifications give Performance Mode a 60 fps target and Quality Mode a 30 fps target on both PS5 and PS5 Pro. Both modes are described as using upscaled 4K, which does not mean native 4K. These are developer-stated targets, not independent measurements of image quality, frame pacing or sustained performance. Funcom’s PlayStation Blog announcement does not establish which mode looks sharper or runs more consistently in play.

Choose Performance Mode for the higher target
Start with Performance Mode if responsiveness and a higher frame-rate target matter most. On base PS5, Funcom says this mode uses frame generation; on PS5 Pro, it says the mode reaches the same 60 fps target without frame generation. The announcement does not provide measured results for either console.
Choose Quality Mode for the 30 fps target
Choose Quality Mode if you prefer the listed 30 fps target. Funcom describes it as upscaled 4K on both systems. The available announcement does not provide a measured comparison of detail, stability or visual quality between the modes, so treat the choice as a preference rather than a proven image-quality ranking.

Which controller settings are worth adjusting?
The US PlayStation Store listing confirms controller remapping, adjustable stick sensitivity and inversion, and the option to play without vibration or adaptive trigger effects. It does not publish the numeric ranges or exact in-game menu paths, and it does not prescribe settings for combat, vehicles or exploration.
- Stick sensitivity: Adjust it to find a camera or aiming response that feels controllable to you. The listing does not identify a best value.
- Inversion: Change the stick direction if you prefer inverted camera controls.
- Remapping: Reassign controls to suit your layout or accessibility needs.
- Vibration and adaptive triggers: Disable either or both if their effects are distracting or uncomfortable.
Because no numeric recommendations or menu instructions are published in the cited listing, use the game’s available control options and make changes based on your own comfort rather than copying an unsupported preset.

What to do if performance seems worse after a long session
Funcom’s current Help Center advises properly restarting the game if it has been running or suspended for a long time and console performance appears to degrade. This is a troubleshooting step, not a guarantee of a particular frame-rate improvement.
- Close the game rather than leaving it suspended.
- Start the game again and check whether the issue persists.
What to know about settings carrying over
Funcom’s current support notice says some console settings may not carry over when using the same account and save on another device, and accessibility settings may not remain tied to the active profile. If your preferred options are missing after switching devices or profiles, check and reapply them. The notice may change over time.

Funcom also notes that some custom single-player gameplay settings may be temporarily overridden in story areas if they interfere with gameplay or mission completion. This applies to custom gameplay settings, not the PS5 graphics-mode choice.

Funcom and the US PlayStation Store list September 22, 2026, as the PS5 launch date. The Store listing describes single-player, multiplayer and scalable difficulty customization, as well as accessibility options including clear and large text, reduced camera movement and effects, adjustable individual audio volumes, and advanced, clear or large subtitles. Funcom says the PS5 interface and controls were tailored to the console; that is the developer’s description, not an independent usability assessment.

The Help Center note that PS5 controllers are supported on PC only with Steam Input enabled concerns the PC version. It should not be read as a requirement for using a PS5 controller on the PS5 console edition.
