Repair legs before mobility becomes the emergency
Damaged legs are called out as a crawler-combat concern. Repairs are therefore a job to monitor throughout a battle, not an afterthought once the crawler can no longer move. A practical crew division is one player on navigation and weapons while another watches the crawler’s condition and moves to repair when a leg is compromised. Use boarding as a separate tactic
The official description lists boarding actions alongside cannon fighting, which implies a deliberate change from stand-off combat to close assault. Their presence is enough to justify a flexible crew plan, but not to claim a universal sequence or weakness. Keep a steering role active, preserve someone who can respond to leg damage, and be ready to abandon a firing position for repairs or a boarding opportunity when the encounter changes.
On-foot combat and environmental items
When you leave the crawler, the game shifts to hand weapons and local objects. Bomb Flowers, Beehives, and Spider Eggs are specifically named in the official description. Their inclusion means the arena itself is part of your equipment set, even though the available material does not provide damage numbers, trigger distances, or enemy-specific interactions.
Scan before committing to a weapon
Before engaging, identify which hand weapon you have equipped and look for the named environmental items. If an enemy is positioned near one of those objects, using the environment may reduce the need to trade direct hits. This is a tactical inference, not a claim that any item stuns, defeats, or damages a particular enemy.

Separate exploration decisions from combat assumptions
Do not assume that an item found in one area behaves identically in every dungeon or encounter. The sources establish the item names, but not a complete interaction chart. Record what the game itself shows you and adjust to the local layout rather than following an invented tier list.

Solo or co-op: which approach fits?

Alientrap’s official description characterizes DuneCrawl as an online co-op action-adventure game about piloting gigantic crustaceans. The practical difference is workload: solo players must cover navigation, weapons, repairs, and boarding decisions themselves, while a group can assign those jobs.

This is a real player question visible in Steam Community discussion, but the reviewed page does not provide a verified shop, crafting station, recipe, or island for ammunition. The official description confirms that crawler combat involves loading cannonballs; it does not establish where every ammunition type is purchased or crafted.
Use the current in-game item description and station menus as the authority for your edition. If a recipe is missing, check whether the relevant quest, dungeon, or upgrade has been unlocked before assuming the save is broken. Do not rely on an unverified location list as a universal answer.

How do you get through the “dark crypt” puzzle?
Another Steam Community post describes a “dark crypt” puzzle involving targets and rotating hazards. The discussion establishes the wording of the problem, not a complete, verified solution. Without a substantiated target order, timing window, or map layout, giving a precise sequence would risk sending you into the puzzle with incorrect instructions.

Approach it as an observation puzzle: identify which targets change the hazard state, watch one full rotation before moving, and make one controlled change at a time. Those are general problem-solving suggestions, not a confirmed solution for that crypt. A separate community guide mentions an artifact location, but that does not fill in the puzzle’s missing sequence.

Steam lists DuneCrawl’s release date as January 5, 2026 and describes solo, local co-op, and online co-op for up to four players. The PlayStation Store listing reviewed for this article showed a PS5 release date of October 19, 2026, with support for up to four online players and DualSense vibration. Because that date was still future on the October 13 storefront snapshot, check the live listing before assuming the console version is available; the date can change.
Google Play lists the game under Alientrap Games Inc. and showed an update date of September 23, 2026. The storefront records establish digital listings, not a title-specific physical edition. No useful physical game, guide, accessory, replacement, or consumable recommendation is substantiated by these listings.
