Pocket Gamer’s September 16, 2026 tier list for version 1.5.1 puts Karetta, Demonic Wolf, Death Knight, Delphyne, Terrorfiend, Archmage Herbert, Winged Terror, Ruins Guardian, and Nora in S tier. That is an editorial ranking, not an official in-game hierarchy: BlueStacks publishes a different list, and the official game site describes skills without endorsing tiers. Use the rankings as a starting point, then match a Lieutenant’s role to your team and check the live skill details before spending upgrade resources.
Dungeon Hunter 6 Lieutenants tier list (Pocket Gamer, version 1.5.1)
Pocket Gamer says its ranking considers effectiveness, skills, and damage output. The tiers below reproduce its list updated September 16, 2026; they are that guide’s judgments, not a universal consensus.
| Tier | Lieutenants |
|---|---|
| S | Karetta; Demonic Wolf; Death Knight; Delphyne; Terrorfiend; Archmage Herbert; Winged Terror; Ruins Guardian; Nora |
| A | Ritualist of Agony; Bridget; Agony Interrogator; Ser Charlie; Cabal Hellcaller; Infernal Cerberus; Frost Colossus |
| B | Haliburt Alemead; Eurydica; Karwood; Olivia; Big Mouth Huron; Wilhelm Ironarm; Ravager; Rime Lady; Mountain Giant |
| C | Skeleton Archer; Red Protoceratop; Necronomicon; Valen Sentinel; Barbek; Mahasti; Astarak; Treant |
See Pocket Gamer’s tier list for its page and further placement notes. It gives little or no rationale for some lower-tier entries, including Eurydica, so a placement alone should not be treated as proof that a Lieutenant is ineffective in every team or mode.
What makes the S-tier picks useful?
Several explanations in Pocket Gamer’s guide point to different kinds of value, rather than damage alone. The official game site’s skill descriptions provide additional detail about some abilities; those are game-mechanic descriptions, not independent performance tests.

#1 Best Overall
- Karetta: Pocket Gamer highlights three-second freeze control and critical-stat buffs. The official site spells the name “Karleta” and says Eternal Ice Jail freezes a target for three seconds, while Power of Frost raises Crit Chance and Crit DMG for the Lieutenant and Hero. The sources differ in spelling; do not assume this means two separate units unless the game client confirms it.
- Demonic Wolf: Pocket Gamer points to damage that scales with missing enemy HP and a six-second bleed. The official site describes Wolf Tail as causing Bleed for six seconds.
- Delphyne: Pocket Gamer cites healing for the lowest-health ally and a reduction to enemy damage reduction. The official site describes Enchanting Torture as reducing enemy damage reduction and healing the ally with the lowest HP.
- Ruins Guardian: Pocket Gamer describes shields and damage reduction, making its stated value defensive and team-oriented.
- Nora: Pocket Gamer notes that Phantom Combo ignores 50% of enemy DEF; the official site also gives that figure in its skill description.
- Archmage Herbert: The official site says Fire Blessing heals allies and increases attack speed, so its described contribution includes support as well as offense.
The official skill descriptions are available on the Dungeon Hunter 6 Lieutenant page. Their effects and numbers should be read as the game site’s descriptions; the page does not establish how every ability performs in all encounters or team builds.
How to choose a Lieutenant for your team
A tier can help narrow your options, but a useful pick depends on what your lineup needs. Compare candidates on these practical axes rather than treating every S-tier unit as interchangeable:

- Embrace Your Inner Hero: Defend Waterdeep and Undermountain from four legendary D&D monsters—Beholder, Displacer Beast, Mimic, and Red Dragon. Team up to protect citizens and outwit these iconic foes.
- Engaging Cooperative Gameplay: Unite family and friends in a thrilling strategy adventure that boosts critical thinking, problem solving, and teamwork.
- Visually Stunning Components: Featuring a richly illustrated game board, sculpted monster miniatures, hero markers, and a custom d20 for immersive D&D flair.
- Easy to Learn, Endless Variety: Each monster offers unique tactics and challenges, delivering fresh strategies and replayable excitement in every 60-minute session.
- Game Night Ready: For 1–5 players. Includes 1 game board, 4 monster mats and figures, hero badges, citizen standees, dice, cards, and all tokens needed to begin your quest.
- Damage and finishing: Consider burst damage or effects that become stronger as an enemy loses HP. Demonic Wolf’s missing-HP damage is one example described by Pocket Gamer.
- Control and disruption: Freeze, bleed, and debuffs can contribute value beyond direct damage. Karetta’s freeze and Demonic Wolf’s bleed are examples; the official site also describes Bridget’s Exorcism Bolt as lowering enemy damage reduction.
- Survivability and support: Healing, shields, damage reduction, and invulnerability can help a team stay effective. The listed descriptions for Delphyne, Archmage Herbert, and Ruins Guardian cover healing, buffs, shields, or damage reduction.
- Team-wide value: A skill that benefits the Hero or allies may matter more to a lineup than a narrow damage comparison. The official site describes Karleta’s Power of Frost as raising critical stats for both the Lieutenant and Hero, and Herbert’s Fire Blessing as increasing allies’ attack speed.
- Acquisition and development: Pocket Gamer describes Herbert as exclusive and costly to develop, and Delphyne as available for free. Those are guide statements, not guaranteed current acquisition conditions; verify availability in the live game before planning around them.
These are decision criteria, not a verified scoring formula. Pocket Gamer names effectiveness, skills, and damage output as its criteria, while BlueStacks says its list considers base rarity, base stats, abilities, and community sentiment.

BlueStacks’ sampled list places Ser Charlie, Bridget, Ruins Guardian, Archmage Herbert, and Karetta in S tier. It puts Agony Interrogator, Valen Soldier, Cabal Hellcaller, and Harpy in A, and Skeleton Archer and Winged Fiend in B. Its roster and tiers differ from Pocket Gamer’s version 1.5.1 list.

The BlueStacks page’s publication date was not established in the reviewed material, so it should not be presented as a newer counter-ranking. Its different choices illustrate why tier lists are best read with their source, date, and criteria attached. The official site supplies skill descriptions, but does not validate either publication’s tier judgments.

- Identify the gap in your team. Decide whether you need control, damage, healing, defensive support, or an ally buff before choosing between high-tier options.

- Check acquisition and upgrade costs before committing. Guide claims about free availability or development difficulty may not match your live-game circumstances.
